Review summary

Slow pace, boring ship, best food ever, nice ports although Cunard tours are all way too short. Will not repeat.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All 5 stars. Best food on a cruise yet! But the QV allocates way too much space for its segregated dining rooms.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Played darts, walked around, watched a few shows. Not a good ship for the younger folks aboard.

Entertainment

3 out of 5

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff were excellent.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Clean and well kept, but overall the QV really didn't impress much. Carpeted floors everywhere, dark and dim look overall - and WAY too much valuable deck space allocated to the segregated dining areas. Rooms were clean, but kind of sparsely appointed. Theatre is nice. Very very little space left for shops, entertainment, etc. Disappointing overall.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Comfort, size and cleanliness were all good to excellent. BUT - the cabin was just not well appointed and really lacked style. Clean, yes but also unimpressive.

Ship tip

Don't bother with the Cunard tours. Way too expensive and consistently shorted us on time.

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England

4 out of 5
Good enough. Not nearly as sophisticated as I've seen elsewhere.

Newcastle Upon Tyne, England

5 out of 5

NEWHAVEN HARBOUR (EDINBURGH), SCOTLAND

4 out of 5
Not enough time on the excursion. Everything was rushed.

Invergordon (Inverness & Loch Ness), Scotland

4 out of 5
Not enough time on the excursion. Everything was rushed.

Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland

4 out of 5
Not enough time on the excursion. Everything was rushed.

Belfast, Northern Ireland

4 out of 5
Not enough time on the excursion. Everything was rushed.

Liverpool, England

4 out of 5
Not enough time on the excursion. Everything was rushed.

St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands

4 out of 5
Not enough time on the excursion. Everything was rushed.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Slow. Problems apparently with baggage handling kept everybody aboard the ship waiting for a full extra hour. Also, Cunard has a policy requiring that *everybody* aboard ship must vacate their cabins by 0800. This isn't nice to deal with as a passenger.
