Review summary

THE SHIP WAS NOT HAF SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT AND IT WAS NOT MOVING AT NORMAL CRUISE SPEED. SO THEY TOOK AWAY THE GLACIER VIEW DAY. THEN WE HAD A MEDICAL EMERGENCY THAT TOOK 12 HOURS AND WE LOST A PORT LEAVING US ON A 7 DAY CRUISE 5 SEA DAYS. WE CRUISE WITH ROYAL ALOT AN ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT OR CREDIT TOWARDS OUR NEXT CRUISE. WE WERE TOLD THEY CAN CHANGE THE ITINERARY AT ANY TIME. IF WE DIDN'T LIKE IT FIND ANOTHER CRUISE LINE. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICES

We sailed on Quantum in June. All was well then.

Sorry this happened to you and they probably should have been a little more tactful in their response but your cruise contract states that they can change the itinerary at the cruise line and Captains discretion. Pretty sure all cruise lines have this in their contracts.

This was a year ago. Hopefully they’ve got the problem corrected as we sail on the Quantum next month.

Just be glad it wasn't your medical emergency or someone cruising with you! Medical emergencies are very common on cruises.

Life happens, then the fine print gets you by the short hairs. Granted, all to often, most likely due to covid shutdowns and too much debt for correct preventative maintenance, we are seeing ship issues that affect the tentative port schedules. What is sad, in the name of profit, the passengers are locked in by lawyer written passage contracts despite known issues with ships that if we knew about we would otherwise cancel for full refund.
