Review summary

Overall we had a great time. The ship rocked quite a bit on sea days. Food was nothing to write home about, but the shows and activities were great!

Embarkation

Very easy, the lines moved quickly. If you're nice to the staff, they are nice back! We moved much faster than the grumpy people.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Generally fine. Everything is frozen and reheated or thawed. Many desserts were still frozen when we got to them, everything lacked flavor. The best was Sorrento's pizza! We ate at least one piece of pizza every day. We did not eat at any specialty dining restaurants. Don't eat at main dining for breakfast or lunch unless you want to wait an hour for your food.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We loved swimming and hot tubs, they were not as crowded as I thought they'd be. We were at the Seaplex every day! Bumper cars and the arcade were a blast!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We went to almost every show, Sonic Odyssey was so cool, Goddess was amazing, the Las Vegas Tenors were lots of fun, and Starwater in the 270 was incredible! We always had something to do! My dad really enjoyed all of the jazz musicians and cover bands.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had a wonderful room attendant, Jensen, who always made sure we had everything we needed! Dining staff was wonderful and attentive. Everyone said hello to us when we passed them in the halls, very friendly and welcoming.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was very clean and mostly well kept. The chairs and common furniture were ripped and torn and most of the cushions completely worn. Could use some updates! Also lots of peeling paint and dripping rust on windows. The balcony in our room was rusty and the floor was torn up quite a bit. The drain on the balcony was full of hair which was super gross!

Cabin / Stateroom

Beautiful cabin! We had a great time. The balconies could use a little paint and touch ups on the floor, as well as a good carpet shampoo or new carpets. Other than that, it was just fine.

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

It was a super rainy day and a lot of excursions got cancelled, but we did the Salmon Bake which was wonderful, and covered from the rain! Tons of food, cute gift shop, wonderful hospitality. There's a short walk to a waterfall and an old mine entrance, and they have a little setup where you can pan for gold!

Victoria, British Columbia

The actual port has pretty much nothing to do. We walked to the Fisherman's Wharf which had lots of places to eat and was fun to walk around. We got to see a pretty sunset on our walk back. There is one tiny gift shop right by the ships. If you really want to explore, I'd buy an excursion for this port.

Ketchikan, Alaska

So much fun! A lot of shops and very walkable! We went to the Lumberjack Show which was so fun. Would absolutely do it again.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy! We used Port Valet to pick up our luggage and my suitcase is missing, so just beware when using services besides taking your bags yourself. I'm not sure yet if Port Valet lost the bag or Alaska Airlines.
