Comfortable shoes. This is a huge ship and you will be doing a lot of walking.

The only items I found a little anoying was our TV which would not turn on/off all the time. Probably needed new batteries in remote. Also was NOT pleased with the Wi-Fi on Ovation. Had MUCH better service on all of the Oasis class ships. Otherwise, this is a nice ship and very nice itenery.

One good tip is when you leave the ship after cruise take your luggage with you. The last port on this cruise was Vancouver and it was a complete mess with the luggage.

when in Seattle and if you are leaving out of Sea-tac airport, utilize the Port Valet it doesn't cost anything and they take care of the luggage and get it to your final destination. this worked great for all 10 of us and our luggage.

Don't forget your swimming suit. Family solarium and adult solarium are both covered so swimming is very nice.

Ship was too large to sail the Inside Passage. For this reason - only - we would not recommend the Ovation.
