We had an amazing time! 5 of our group of 10 were first time cruisers, everything went great! and we already have our Panama Canal trip planned for 2021! maybe we can squeeze another cruise in for next year.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
quick and expeditious, only one minor hiccup on the photo uploaded for the set sail pass
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
we opted to purchase the deluxe drink package and that really helped us not have to worry about a large bar bill at the end of the trip
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
if you have a sense of adventure there is something for everyone onboard this ship: Ovation of the seas has, a Sky Diving tube, surfing wave rider, Bumper Cars, Roller Skating, an Escape room - which was great! to capturing the natural views around us on top of the Northstar!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
we only got to watch one show called pixels in the back of the ship at 270, it was quite a cool show, top notch in our books. Bingo and the Love and marriage were some of our favorite activites.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
the staff was great, very accommodating by allowing all 10 of us sit at same table with our prior to cruise request. also they did their best on helping us with a gluten free option for one in our party. (they even provided a whole gluten free section in the windjammer buffet) really spectacular!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
from the ships overall appearance and with all the things to do, from swimming, solarium, casino, to bumper cars this ship has it all.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
it was very nice to have our rooms adjoin for us and our child and her friend to stay next door.
Ship tip
when in Seattle and if you are leaving out of Sea-tac airport, utilize the Port Valet it doesn't cost anything and they take care of the luggage and get it to your final destination. this worked great for all 10 of us and our luggage.
we took the White Pass rail train and had excellent weather, the train ride was very informative and Goldiblocks our guide really was a great guide, from there we went gold panning and got to see Sled dogs that will be competing in this years Iditarod along with getting to hold 3 week old puppies!
unfortunately Mother Nature won this battle, with the nice warm weather we had, the Glacier had too many icebergs in the water and we could not make it up to the glacier, maybe next time, we will get to see the glacier from the ship.
Paul our shore excursion driver did a wonderful job, we visited the craigdarroch castle and butchart Gardens, both were cool to see. and the Size of the rhododendrons where huge!
