Was a great 1st cruise, my partners 4th with you. Thank you for a fabulous 1st experiance. You so so many things right - staff were tremendous - shows a blast and an awesome cruise director I proposed to my partner on this cruise - even picked out and brought a ring onboard. Can't wait for our next cruise with Royal Caribbean .

We had a group of 10 taking 4 rooms. 2 adults, 3 young men aged 18, 3 girls of 17yrs, a 12yr old boy and a 7yr old boy. We all had a fantastic time. We were all first time cruisers and cannot wait to do our next one!

This was our second cruise... by queenofhearts

Sail date: /
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

This was our second cruise on the Ovation. We had upgraded to the Grand suite and definitely worth it with all the inclusions of specialty restaurants, butler, vip dining etc and the room was amazing and spacious. Great storage for us both and the view of the sounds as we sat on the balcony was wonderful. Your room receives a daily planner of activities and I wish they would update over the speakers throughout the day as a reminder as there is so many things on and spread out across the ship I found it difficult sometimes to plan properly. The food in the coastal kitchen and solarium was outstanding and recommend booking the Chefs table early as it sells out quickly. With 5 courses matched with wines including the chef who explains all about each dish and why the wine was chosen is a great experience. The only con is the constant up selling from staff, but say no once they tend to leave you alone.

Fantastic family Cruise- we celebrated... by rockingros

Sail date: /
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

Fantastic family Cruise- we celebrated an 80th birthday. The itinerary was brilliant as was the ship. Embarking and disembarking was a very smooth process. Onboard activities kept us busy. The entertainment first class. The variety of eateries good. Our dining experiences were varied.

Absolutely loved the ship. First time cruiser so couldn’t compare with smaller ships. Would definately sail on it again, however would like to try a smaller ship to get more land days in.

Fantastic first time cruise .... by MegR78

Sail date: /
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

Fantastic first time cruise . Loved it. Everything was great , food, customer service, entertainment. We ate dinner at Silk restaurant which was great, our waiter Matana was very friendly and provided great customer service. Entertainment - ACDC tribute and Freddie Mercury tribute as well as the other shows were fantastic. North Star and Ifly were fun, must do. Booked our next cruise while still on board.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific

I couldn’t wait to get of this cruise was so bored. Went with a group from people everyone was unhappy with our choice going on the ovation as it’s was expensive for our group been on other cruises had a great time with our groups felt this cruise is catering for older and kids not for middle age groups ..

Fantastic cruise by M51

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific

Great ship. Disappointed we only went to 2 ports. There were 4 advertised when we booked. Apparently 6 originally. A lot of kids on board. Adult only areas was not policed. On the whole kids were well behaved. Adults in one family were feral, consequently so were the kids. However still had great time. Plenty to do, never bored. Just overall good experience.

Good cruise around the pacific by SMetcalf

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific

Lovely cruise, the ship was great, we realised that we prefer smaller ships. Having said this, I would cruise on the Ovation of the sea again, but she is not my first choice.

My first Cruise I have... by Deej30

Sail date: /
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

My first Cruise I have done and travelling with 9 others so a fairly large group and had the best time on this ship. Always something to do and plenty of space to get away from everyone and do your own thing if you need time alone. Excellent staff, the shows were fantastic, and the food never had a bad meal.

Not what I expected by Shayne123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

It is a beautiful ship and if you are after a resort style holiday that's what you get. If you'd prefer the sounds and smells of the ocean I'd be looking at something else. I much preferred Voyager or Radiance.

We stayed in interior cabin... by hisokaomi

Sail date: /
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

We stayed in interior cabin with virtual balcony. Nice and cosy with a single sofa. Easy to go pool deck and lift lobby. Our housekeeping staff impressed us with wonderful service and impressed us with towel animals. Loved food variety in windjammer marketplace and service by american icon & silk main dining rooms. Our ship had cruised through scenic sounds and had docked at port chalmer, Wellington, napier and picton. Great ports but time was limited in Wellington. A variety of entertainment and activities on ship but attitude of some staffs need improvement. Not impressed with hostile attitude of North star counter staff.

Great ship. Lovely trip to NZ be prepared to line up for a lot of things. by zolton69

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

Ovation is a lovely ship food was fantastic, ship kept amazingly clean, staff all lovely. Be sure you allow plenty of time to get off the ship on port days, we missed our bus(private company) at Wellington. Adults only solarium is a great place till relax but they need more of the lounges not enough to go round. Loved the north Star beautiful way to see NZ coast. The I-fly was fun definitely recommend just wish they would allow more than one go! Lifts can be really slow stairs can be quicker. Dodgem cars fun but the line ups can be huge.
