Review summary

Definitely one of the best cruise experiences I've had. From the reservations made with , to the offboarding process, it was really a joyful experience. I would cruise on Royal Caribbean again and use to book it!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy drop off and processing since we opted to upgrade to using the "Key" I would recommend upgrading if you can, as the perks are worth it.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The ship offered so many choices to eat! We were a part of a large group (55 ppl) and they accommodated us with a separate dining room plus our own waitstaff who were incredibly nice and efficient. We did not plan this ahead of time, but only after we were on the ship. The food was delicious with a wide variety. They had a theme dinner every night. It was nice.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the solarium for relaxation. I also went roller skating and didn't fall or break anything! There was also the "I FLY" simulating sky diving, and the "Flow Rider" where you can surf on boogie boards. Lots to do if you are inclined to participate! The fitness center was full of every type of workout machine and they also had classes, like stretch & flex and ab workouts. After a strenuous day hiking, I enjoyed a nice massage. It was well worth it!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The stage shows were good. The comedian was good. The juggler was good too.

Children's Programs

I didn't take any kids with me on this trip.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The entire crew on this ship were excellent. Very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Whatever I needed, they provided. My room attendant, Russell was especially great! So pleasant and nice to talk with. He did an excellent job making up our room each day and left us little animals made of towels. We had the best room steward!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean and there were disinfection stations all over it!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin had only a window view, but it was on the 3rd floor and so close and convenient to all the places we wanted to go. We didn't have to rely on the elevators, but used the stairs mostly.

Ship tip

To buy into the "Key" program. It offers more than it costs... your time is valuable.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

I think the embarkation/debarkation process was smooth and fast. I was pleasantly surprised since this was the first time using it. I didn't do any excursions here.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

the ship sailed through the narrowest part early in the morning and I wasn't aware of the timing, so I missed this part... I wish this would have been announced more frequently prior to so I could have planned to see it.

Juneau, Alaska

This port was our first stop and I was disappointed. The excursions were really expensive and I read the glacier at Mendenhall was not great. I did have friends who went on it and they agreed, it was disappointing since it had melted and looked ugly. I walked up to the Whale statue and found it to be pretty cool. Then walked back to the boardwalk where all the souvenir stores were lined up along with plenty of homeless people. I wasn't impressed with Juneau.

Skagway, Alaska

Quaint little "goldrush" town. I took the town tour in the old cars that once carried coal. It was a good little insight to the town, how the goldrush played an integral part in developing it, and how the cruise industry keeps it alive. Many artisans in this community selling their wares.

Sitka, Alaska

This was my favorite city in Alaska to visit. The pier for the ship was out of town, but busses were provided to shuttle everyone in. The town has a lot of history and the wildlife viewing (salmon spawning) was easy to see in all the parts of water ways around town. The walking tour was easy to follow and very enjoyable. The people were very friendly there. The souvenir shops had a wide variety of goods and shopping was fun there.

Victoria, British Columbia

We walked into town from the port and it was a lovely stroll. We had high tea at the Abkhazi Tea Gardens which was really lovely. It wasn't pretentious, but very casual and elegant. The gardens were beautiful too. The story of the way the gardens came to be was romantic and lovey too. After lunch, we went back into the downtown to visit the Empress Hotel. We enjoyed a drink with the famous "Empress Gin" in the bar. My drink was called, "Talk to me Goose" and was yummy!

Disembarkation

Since we had the "Key", our bags were offset from the thousands of other bags on the floor, which made it so easy to find and they were staged close to the exit door so we were out of there quickly. Our transportation was waiting and we were out of there in minutes. So Easy with the Key!
