Review summary
First time on Royal Caribbean. Previously all cruises have been on Princess. Royal had many more activities for a variety of ages. We will cruise Royal again if price is right, itinerary is right, and especially if we’re traveling with kids/grandkids. Alaska exceeded expectations. Take the helicopter tour and walk on glacier in Skagway. It’s pricey and worth every penny. The whale watching tour with Harv & Marv in Juneau was excellent. If you do the train excursion in Skagway, get in the caboose. You can’t move from car to car. The caboose has area on back you can go outside to take photos with unobstructed view. In rail car, sit on the left side. In Sitka get the Russian dumplings and the Alaskan fry bread.Embarkation
