Review summary

This cruise exceeded our expectations! Trip of a lifetime; beautiful scenery; a perfect mix of relaxation time and time to explore and sightsee. Crew was friendly and attentive; ship was clean and offered many options and comfort. Many options for food, drinks and entertainment.

Main dining room food and service was wonderful. We reserved the same table near a window with the same servers after the first night and that made a big difference! By night 3 they were calling us by name and knew our drink order and how my husband liked his steak cooked. Windjammer lacked seating; was hot and you could feel the ship’s movement more; food was repetitive. Didn’t try the specialty restaurants and we don’t feel we missed out at all. Room service for continental breakfast was fair.

Perfect size for 2. Obstruct view simply refers to the life boat at your feet; you’re just unable to see the water directly below. Our view was beautiful! Bed was on the firm side but still comfortable, pillows were surprisingly good. Attention to detail: nightlight in bathroom, safe, optional lock on mini fridge, tons of storage.
