Do not expect the level of excitement or entertainment that you would find on some other cruises. If you are looking for a nice friendly and relaxing get away, this is it. We enjoyed it a lot.

Don't book a holiday cruise. It costs more and there was nothing to even know it was Valentines Day other than all the jewelry were hearts.

It was for me one of the better cruises at HAL and did remind me of old times before Carnival took over. I used the possibility of booking a future cruise on board and instead of paying a small amount of 100 dollars I paid 300 dollars down and received therefore 200 dollars of spending o/b money for my future cruise. My advice: You have to pay the final cruise price ultimately anyhow why not pay a larger amount down and get more spending on board money.

The ship is 15 years old. They've done a good job of maintaining it, and in most cases it looks current/renovated. But there are some areas where it shows it's age. So, not perfect but still very very good and I would definitely recommend this ship and the Mediterranean Romance itinerary.
