See previous comments regarding our Oosterdamnation cruise. Never again Holland America!!!!!!

The ship is very nice, with entertainment for all ages. Yes, it has loud music by the pool, but you will always find a quiet room to read a book or to chat with your spouse or friends. Excellent food. Negative points are the useless stop in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and the shore excursion to Isla Pasion, Cozumel. The beaches are nice in both places, but: a) Jamaica has nothing in far from being a nice and calm place like the other ports of call. Maybe other ports in Jamaica wold be better (Last year I went to Ocho Rios, which was much better). b) The beach in Isla Pasion is very nice but the food is really bad, the open bar is a scam, and the stay at the island could be 2 hours more - with no impact in the time to be back onboard.

We are a married couple with 12 cruise experiences on multiple lines. We said we would not take Holland America again because of the lack of daily activities, but the price was good on this cruise so we tried it and were satisfied. We brought our own entertainment on board ( books, card games, puzzles, podcasts, video games etc) and this helped. We walked 3 miles daily on the ship ( nice promenade deck) and played some pickle ball ( equipment and facilities were not optimal). We enjoyed the anytime dining and evening entertainment. We upgraded to a suite and I feel this really improved the quality of our trip. The balcony cabins I saw on this ship were quite small and the balconies one of the smaller in the industry for this level. The support staff on the cruise were excellent and I never had a bad experience with them. I did have a bad interaction with the excursion planning staff and I recommend not using them. The naturalist was knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed his lectures. I wish there were more. We booked this cruise to enjoy BB King's blues club, but the singers were focused on R and B and soul. More blues please! I can not recommend the Billboard piano players. As a singer, I found them both weak and their harmony frequently off. Plan to be in your cabin early as the activities die off after 11 pm but with a nice balcony, large flat screen TV and in room movies, this was pleasant. Enjoy!

Great cruise! Nice temperatures. Friendly staff and crew. Food was great. Music was Great. The Retreat was fabulous and the spa.

Just not my cup of tea. But you don’t know up until you try. The activities were just not of interest for the most part. The crew were all very wonderful though.

Overall, I would give it a B rating. Not impressed with the ship itself, the entertainment was not impressive (except for the musical revue). The food was excellent and the service was among the best we've experienced.

No more Holland for us! 3 of 4 ports cancelled and they had no back up plans....just sailed for half the trip. Mainstage entertainment was bad...(BB King's Jazz Club only highlight). Excursions were averge at best

Bayu (dining area) and Funghi in the spa were memorable and wonderful. OUr room stewards were the best in the business.

From Day 1 to Day 7 Holland America was a dream come true. We were extremely pleased with every little detail right up to the big details. We are in our mid sixties and our cruise was so laid back and as relaxing as you wanted it to be. We loved them so much that we booked an Alaska cruise on Day 7 on the same ship. Book HAL for your next cruise!!!!

A 14 day back-to-back Eastern and Western Caribbean cruise is a great way to see a variety of locations within one trip. The excursion in Fort Lauderdale between the two trips gave us an unexpected way to see something different on the mainland. Kept same cabin and same wonderful cabin stewards for the whole trip and thoroughly enjoyed the entire Holland America staff.

Changes made to ship configuration are not an improvement. The Crow's Nest has been mad e into a library exclusively. We used to enjoy nightlife, live musicians and DJ music and dancing in this space before the changes were made, but no more. The rest of the entertainment on board was underwhelming. BB Kings music venue was OK, Billboard Piano Bar was OK, Mainstage entertainment was not great. There were no live musicians at all throughout the entire week on the pool deck (Lido). Most cruises have parties on the pool decks, but no this one. Service was exceptional as expected for HAL. Food was very good every night in all venues. The bars were out of limes for 4 days during the 7 day cruise. What? No margaritas? Not good.

First time on Holland America. It was a great way to spend time with family members while someone else did the cooking and cleaning.

one complain I order oceanview with any boat on the window.. did not get what I want or asked when .booked I ask why they told thats way was the way order ... im not happy ... becuase I asked oceanview when I book with you... next time with book with other company...

Service and maintenance of the vessel were incredible. The ship is beautiful. Only two complaints - the food in the buffet was awful and they didn't really seem to have much staff wandering around to get drinks/clean tables. There was one day we sat at a table for two hours - no one ever came around.

Not only was it the worse cruise we have ever been on but we had talked another couple (in cabin 7035) who had never been on a cruise before to join us on this one because we had told them how great ocean cruises were. They were totally disappointed and we were totally embarrassed.

We really enjoyed our recent cruise with Holland America on the Oosterdam. All of the dedicated staff went our of their way to make our time as pleasant as possible. Our room was always cleaned in a timely manner and our two room attendants Kunus and Joshua were always around and very friendly if we needed anything. I give them an A+++ for their service.

The first week was a wonderful itinerary. The last week was crossing the Atlantic. The weather was beautiful. We enjoyed the peace and the routine. Holland America is a good reliable line with history lectures, cooking demonstrations, great young musicians and other things to pass the time.
