I highly recommend this cruise for anyone interested in seeing Alaska. the landscape is amazing, the service and staff onboard there ship was perfect. I do not have anything negative to say about this cruise.

We have enjoyed many cruises (20+) on multiple lines and think this was probably our least favorite. We had friends with us and generally made our own party. The excursions were, on the whole, very good and we recommend (though post excursion port time is non existent). We feel they could take many lessons from Carnival (parent company?) with regard to accommodations and overall service. Rated 1 out 10? Somewhere around a 6. Rated 1 out of 5? Somewhere between 2 & 3 (based primarily on the food).

Beautiful scenery and our weather was exceptional.

Alaska was amazing. Holland America not my thing.

A very relaxed, interesting and worthwhile cruise, also ports were interesting an visitor friendly, especially liked Sitka, much to see, free shuttle and WiFi on the port, the museums we visited we full of artefacts from another era.

Just a quick relaxing getaway We did the same ship in March to the Caribbean It is an older ship but it is in good shape Would do it again Alaska is beautiful anytime

Sorry but after cruising on ALL the big name cruiselines multiple times, we think Carnival is the BEST in almost all categories.

I highly recommend the Oosterdam. I liked the smaller size of the ship and it was extremely clean and well-maintained. I can not say more about the quality of our service and the hard working crew - it was amazing everywhere. I would have liked more activities during the day but gladly take this trade-off for a smaller, more personal experience. My only negative was the WiFi situation. It was hit or miss and we paid extra.

Excellent cruise. Alaska didn't disappoint at all! This was my first cruise and definitely won't be my last. Cruising is an excellent way of disconnecting and relaxing!

Our first cruising experience and while it wasn't horrible I will definitely seek another ship next time due to our disappointment with the food. Considering that we were used to a different time zone it would have been nice if the buffet was open all day instead of shutting down so that we could have eaten when we were hungry and not have to wait.

Would love to do it again!!! Spectacular views & excellent services on board the ship.

Love cruising on Holland America. Really take care of you. We won’t cruise any other cruise line. Love the upgrades! Our waiters, Etka and Dim Dim were the best by far! Always kept us laughing and were very accommodating.

We didn’t think we would like it but friends convinced us to go. Boy we’re we surprised and happy we did. So beautiful. Cruise line was great. We don’t have anything bad to say. We would definitely go again.

Everything was well organized and started right on time. Staff was most excellent. Only complaint was the lack of entertainment.

Great experience but I was disappointed in the food and entertainment since it was geared towards an older crowd.

The ship was comfortable. The fog encountered allowed us to hear the fog horn every two minutes day/night. A talk with the captain in the main stage allowed for questions and answers. The shipboard sea expert provided knowledgeable and understandable answers to questions.

Had a really good time off the ship, we always do holland America but will never do oosterdam again

Do it! Never mind the cost, it’s a bucket list trip that everyone should do. HAL is a great cruise line at reasonable cost with impeccable service and fantastic food and drinks.

Staff is amazing but the itenary and some of the rooms need work. Went on Eurodam couple years prior and it was much nicer than the Oosterdam. You could see our room was older and needed minor repairs

Overall, a great trip. This is my second time on the Oosterdam. It was remodeled I think last year. If I had to complain (just a little) it would be that they added cabins to the Observation deck right behind the Crows Nest. It was nice to be able to get right out on to the outside deck without going through the cabin passage way.
