Review summary

The ship was comfortable. The fog encountered allowed us to hear the fog horn every two minutes day/night. A talk with the captain in the main stage allowed for questions and answers. The shipboard sea expert provided knowledgeable and understandable answers to questions.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very organized, but chaotic. Great check in experience and wit.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The ship was a nice size, very easily navigated by foot. Six times around on the promenade deck was one mile. The bars and food venues were conveniently located thought out the ship, not necessarily open at convenient times, but still available depending on your schedules. Also menus and food selection were ample.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Shipboard announcements and daily schedules of events were always available. The pool was open everyday, even when the ship was wobbling in the seas. Ping pong table competitions were daily, basketball court and pickle ball were available as well.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
A magician and a stand up comedian were on the main stage, there were a dueling piano pair that played 70’s and 80’s hits and also country. A casino was busy.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room stewards on deck seven were excellent, any special requests were handled efficiently and quickly. They were always friendly and offered a “hello or good morning” while addressing us by name. They were great. The staff in the Lido kitchen were the same way. It made dining there a special experience. A tequila sunrise, or a tequila shot, or a coke product along with water were always quick to show up at our table after ordering along with a smile from Doni or Eff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ships layout allowed for easy access to elevators and staircases to all decks. There was a little confusion as to access to the Crows Nest, but again it was easy to learn to navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cleanliness and organization of the cabin was easy. Large screen tv was nice. Chocolates every night!

Ship tip

Not a Pepsi product boat. Buy into their drink package, well worth it. A dinner at the Pinnacle is a special occasion. Bring magnetic hooks to use for extra storage on the state room walls.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
Beautiful view with beautiful weather.

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
Friendly city! Fun bar scene. Very historical. Wonderful weather.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Rainy weather. Great walkable city from the pier.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
Another very walkable city from the ship. No need for city transportation even though it is right there at the pier. A lunch at the wharf is a must stop.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Organized chaos again. A midnight deadline for luggage removal from the state room to the hallway. Color designation before hand allowed for retrieval in the port. A porter made the luggage trip to the bus transportation easy. Well worth the cost of s tip.
