The problem with the two excursions was very upsetting & the cruise staff pretty much had an attitude of ‘well, stuff happens, too bad’ ! Then I found out that the Excursion Desk had not sent the information to Guest Services !! Although they did not seem to really care either! Guess I will never reach the next Mariner level as I plan to never sail on the Holland cruise line again! I also never received a reply after the cruise from guest relations on a call & from an email I sent!Embarkation

When we boarded we were not notified that our cabin had changed. We had to make sure our luggage arrived at the correct cabin. Also we had a midship 4 deck & were assigned a deck 7, very back of the ship cabin resulting in much more walking with a veranda which we didn’t need or use.

Give emergency phone number to guests going on excursions. Left behind by bus in a small village 40 meters from port !

When my daughter told the guide she was a vegetarian she refused to notify the kitchen & told my daughter she should have notified them when she booked the excursion although
there as was no where on form to do so! As a result my daughter did not eat (about $139 excursion). When the kitchen manager asked if she liked the food my daughter told her she did not eat. The manager asked why they were not notified by the guide because they had several options on the menu that were vegetarian she could have been served with no problem. When we address this with the ship excursion
desk they were mot helpful nor was she compensated!
Same color sticker were issued to two different buses for the same excursion resulting in me waiting while the bus was there & seeing no guide I waited outside of the bus on the driver side with my color of sticker . Has I walked up to that bus just checking to see what bus it was, it started to leave. When I checked again with others waiting I realized they had a different # on the small sticker. Fortunately I was able to get back on that bus to get back to the tender, however i missed the main part of this tour. My stuff stuff was still on the original bus. They said they counted & had the corrected count!! Perhaps they need to check names off if they cannot count correctly. Scary thought: had another tour bus not come I would have been stranded & not able to get back to the ship, with no phone number available to even make a call & no taxi in the village maybe I might still be there😵💫

It is scary to think you could get left behind. Almost happened to me last excursion. I was alone and went to bathroom. When I came out, was a different exit and was just a short stop. That they couldn’t count, was the first thought I had. Glad you all made it back. Sorry to hear it was not the best cruise for you!
