The Oosterdam is a very beautiful ship. It is clean and well-maintained. There are plenty of public places to sit and relax, and there are lots of activities in which to participate.

There were lots of options on the menu each day. We could always find something on the menu that we liked.
Entertainment

The ship's singers and dancers were excellent - the best we have ever had on a cruise. We also enjoyed very much the various musicians on the ship, but especially the string ensemble. We avoided the comedian, because we have learned not to trust comedians. Afterward, we learned that our decision was correct. Several people told us he was the worst comedian they had ever had on a cruise. He started out OK, but it didn't take long for him to delve into the obscene and vulgar. Many were offended, and several people walked out. There were always children and teenagers at the shows - it should have been "family friendly." If he was going to be X-rated, it should have been advertised as such.

Everyone on the staff was friendly, and they seemed truly happy to serve.

The ship is very easy to get around. The staff works very hard to keep the ship clean and in good shape.

It was nice having a DVD player in addition to the TV.
Again, because of the itinerary, we were only in Victoria during the evening - I would like to have been there earlier in the day. Butchart Garden was phenomenal.
Because of the itinerary, we could only spend half of a day in Ketchikan because we needed to set sail for Victoria. It would have been nice to spend more time there.
