Review summary

The cruise on Odessey of the Sea was great. Complications arise with dealing with large numbers of guests during common events like breakfast or shows in the evening to get a seat. The excursions are also complicated because of the high expense and having to choose one over the other because of the limited time in the port. Even after you decide on what excursion best fits your interest, be ready to accept what is delivered vs your expectation.

Very comfortable cabin. Wish we could have had a cabin that was not so far the from stairs/elevators to other floors.

Need to go earlier for all events, shows, or dining so you get a seat.

Need to research carefully any excursion you are interested in. What is included and what is not. Be ready for last minute changes. Our excursion made us wait about 1 hour to start because 3 guests arrived late and the drivers/tour guides could not come to agreement how to resolve because the guests did not want to be separated, and 3 of the cars going had only 1 seat open. We sat in the car while the drivers/guides argued how to resolve it through there company. about 1 hour. Finally, a decision was to get a cab for the guests, and they would follow. Our car was completely ready to go on time and could not go because the company apparently required all 6 cars to travel together. Our guide/driver was great, she tried to work with the others and get us off, but they others insisted to stay together. At the end we were then rushed through some of the sites and our lunch stop wasn't until 4pm. Very late lunch and rushed back.

This is an extremely busy port and the logistics to getting around is very difficult. Too many people, too long lines for every method of getting around. The island is beautiful though.
