Review summary

Royal Caribbean continues to nickel and dime their guests. We are diamond guests, but did not visit the lounge at all. When we received the notice we were not welcome from the hours of 5:00-8:30PM.....after all the money we have spent over the years to climb the ladder, per se , for better perks.....fell short.

Your vouchers work at any bar for the entire day. There is nothing free from 5-8 pm. The Lounge is a nothing event. No one "nickeled and dimed" you. You still received all of your free drinks.

You do realize that Trans-Atlantic voyages attract a very high number of Pinnacle and Diamond+ C&A passengers? That means on some nights to accommodate special events for those higher tiers, they do limit the hours for those that are only Diamond. It is not an every sailing event, but until Royal reserves a lounge just for the most upper tier members of the program there will be times that the Diamond lounge on any ship gets limited due to capacity. Also, since they no longer do the unlimited "happy hour" free drinks in the lounge from 5-8pm the lounge has lost a lot of appeal as an evening venue.

We got kicked out of the lounge on the Harmony for only being Diamond this summer. The concierge pretty much announced it to the whole room at 5:30 that we had to leave. She couldn’t get herself off the chair to come over and be polite, as we had been sitting there playing dominoes for a while. Loyalty. Nickel and dime us then. We will do the same. Just give us our free drinks and keep your darn Crown lounge.
