Review summary

Lots of detail in the other sections. Overall it was a very enjoyable cruise and I would not hesitate to cruise on the Oasis again. Please recognize I have mainly highlighted where things were not the best and could be improved.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
First time having a Junior Suite and having priority embarkation was amazing. Definitely use the suites embarkation line, even if you are only in a junior suite. We were among the very first people on the ship, walking onboard at 10:32am.

Casino Royale

First, I actually won in the Casino but I did not like the tip hustling, by multiple dealers and even the pit bosses. It is in bad taste for a dealer to ask “is this one for me?” as she grabs a $25 chip when coloring up after a small win. This is even after I was tipping while playing. This is just in bad taste. There was another time during a stop at their private island when all tables were open in a pit EXCEPT the one game I wanted to play and literally there was not 1 player at any of the tables. They said they would open the table in 45 minutes (were not willing to shift a worker to the closed table game) but over an hour later they still did not have the table open. Then they finally shifted a worker to the closed table!?!The casino team seemed genuinely unhappy. I will save specific names and feedback for the cruise line survey. The smoke from the casino was bad, moving into the main dining room. This was even mentioned during the Captains Corner event at the AquaTheater and a staff member mentioned they just bought “diffusers” or something similar to try to help this issue, but they may not have been installed yet.

AquaTheater

The show is great and a must see. New crew was just starting up. It was great seeing the teams interact during the rehearsals.

Theater

Cats talent is remarkable. The show is better now that it is only 90 minutes long, rather than 2 hours. One Sky performance was great. The first show was stopped half way through due to a technical issue with the prop plane wings not folding back up. The show was automatically rescheduled later in the cruise and it ran flawlessly.

Pink stains on the carpet and the thermostat did not seem to work but. It to the point that we needed maintenance to come. Overall, the junior suite was nice.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Would NOT recommend the Pearl Island cruise ship shore excursion. We saw a worker sell drugs to a passenger from a non-Oasis ship. It just made the tour feel unsafe. This was shared with the Guest Services team as well.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

South Beach is my new favorite location, then Oasis Lagoon.

Falmouth, Jamaica

Walked around me the cruise port and had enough after 20 minutes. This port is a great day to just stay on the ship.

Disembarkation

Did self assist and there were 250 people in line waiting to step off, once they opened the doors about 7:10am. Customs was efficient with the facial recognition. The cheapest Uber option to MIA was $31, and this was with 7 ships in port.
