Review summary

The itinerary was fantastic! Great way to see several countries. Oasis of the Seas is a beautiful ship but it does need a "facelift". You need to go back to us deciding on gratuities, the service has definitely changed since it is automatically 18% deducted.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We have been cruising with Royal Caribbean since early 2000's. It seems like the quality of food in the main dining room has gone down. For that reason we ate more dinners in the Windjammer. We were also disappointed that formal night meal is no different than any other nights menu. Plus the fact that no one really dresses "formal" on formal night. Maybe you should just do away with it. I don't think people should be allowed to wear t-shirts and shorts on the non-formal nights. Disappointing to have a dress code that most people don't follow. Please stop pushing paying additional for a steak and shrimp meal! I also don't want to be bothered with eating at the specialty restaurants while trying to enjoy my meal.

Onboard Activities

We were really to busy with excursions to enjoy the onboarding activities.

Not as friendly in the dining room as in past cruises. They seem to just be going through the motions. Room Stewart brought us an extension cord for a c-pap machine that was way too short and we had to call twice to get another. Our room stewart was off for the night and it took someone over an hour to bring us one. We told them an american plug and they brought European, thank goodness we had a converter with us. I also ran out of soap in the shower soap dispenser in the middle of taking a shower. We also ran out of tissues. I was in the hallway getting ready to go in my room when the couple two cabins down passed by, apparently the man had an accident in his pants and our room Stewart said in front of me that the man "shit his pants". Very unprofessional.

Bed skirt on the balcony side of the bed was hanging partially off at the head of the bed. The velcro had come unglued from the bed frame. The small drawer in the bathroom had some spots on the drawer liner that looked like blood.

Very smooth, except we were given luggage tags with the incorrect number that was not on the list. When we as the room stewart, he said they ran our of our number tags. So why give a us a number not listed and not explain this to us. Frustrating.

Wow, it's a shame. Formal nights used to be lobster and cherries jubilee!
