Review summary

Was unable to enjoy my balcony or room. Recieved several calls because of my light in my room could not go on my balcony in the evening unless all lights were off in my room. I was ferry unhappy reported it I was insulted when I reported it to customer service desk. I ask for the manager and I also ask to file a claim and security was called I felt discriminated against because I was African American. I was disrespected, embrassed and offended.

I am still confused about the lights. So sorry to hear they made you uncomfortable. I would tell them if they called one more time I will keep the lights on 24 hours a day. Please tell us more details as this makes no sense to me.

Sorry, i dont believe you. You lost me when you claim racist. Have you looked at the diversity on a ships employees, from all over the workd in all colors. Maybe you should look in the mirror

Unless you had really stormy conditions making the balcony unsafe there doesn’t seem to be any logic to this... That is unless you were sailing a hostile region and ordered to stay off balconies and use no lights (which obviously you weren’t). Use of outside lights is about minimising light pollution so unless you were in a designated stargazer’s cruise I can’t see why the ship’s management would interfere at all... If there were complaints about noise or smoking from a balcony that might be a different matter.. We’ve just disembarked from a ship that stayed in port on several night during the trip, lights were on balconies all over the ship and the balconies were never made ‘out of bounds’ even when the sea was choppy.. Can’t see that your heritage is relevant to anything... Looks like something must have been mis-communicated..
