Review summary
Overall, the cruise was a good one, but as I guess as to be expected, it had its flaws. For example, signs are posted in the pool area to the effect that if you leave your lounge vacant for over 30 minutes, you lose it. On every occasion when we used the pool area, people were taking two lounges apiece -- one in the sun and one in the shade. This, of course, left many without lounges. Some lounges were unoccupied for 3+ hours, but NOTHING was ever done about it. If NCL imposes a rule, then it should also ENFORCE it. The availability of wheelchairs at disembarkation was VERY, VERY LIMITED. Some individuals were waiting well over an hour to get a chair. We are latitude members. There was no welcome letter in our stateroom. We missed out on the special activities for latitude members. When I brought this to NCL's attention, they corrected the problem on our key card but took an "oh well" attitude toward the problem. The cruise ports were good, and the embarkation process was one of the best I have ever experienced. The food was good -- plentiful and good variety -- both in the dining room and the buffet. We really enjoyed the Freestyle concept.Ship experiences

Ship tip
Go to the Observation Lounge for Happy Hour. Good deal. NCL is the only cruise line of which I'm aware that offers a Happy Hour like this.
