Review summary

My overall impression of the ship was a run down, dirty ship with plenty of food, but no quality. Our balcony stateroom was so dusty, we were afraid of walking bare foot on the nasty carpet. The shower and shower soaps was empty and very hard to reach. The getting off the ship at different ports was a joke, the tender tickets had to be picked up at deck 7, the towels at deck 5, the disbarkation was on deck 3. After getting the so "mandatory tender tickets" nobody seemded to look at them afterall. The public bathrooms as well as our balcony stateroom was so dirty. Free style crusing and eating at anytime anywhere is a joke as well. We could never eat anywhere at anytime without making reservations which we did not have. The italian specialty restaurant serves nothing better than the two main dining rooms, only it charges a cover charge. For what? The pasta or pizza line at lunch time is so long that we gave up on it. One ice cream stand does not do it for over 2000 people on board either. The service in the "free two main dining rooms" is not very friendly, the waiters hardly talk, they get you in and out. They definitely do not work for their tips. The Italian wine from the wine menue was not available all week, not even in the Italian restaurant. Free style cruising and Norwegian SUN, NEVER AGAIN

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Stirrup Cay Island is a joke. Hundreds of people pressed together on a small beach, not even space enough to have lawn chairs to lay out comfortable. At the lunch served on the island they do not even offer ice tea or lemonade and only 1/2 hour into serving lunch they ran out of water as well

we hired a local driver and a 14 year old boy to show us the island, they were great, very friendly and we exchanged addresses to stay in touch

Cozumel, Mexico

We rented a car and drove around the island, very easy drive. Very friendly people. The downtown area is fun and I recommend a tequilla in a local bar
