Review summary
Overall, a great trip. The boarding process was well run and we boarded very easily and smoothly. The activites on the ship were well thought out and there were several to choose from on a daily basis. The one downside I thought, was the service for the staterooms. I know most cruise lines have gone to a daily charge per person so that the tipping at the end of the cruise is not necessary, but this was the first time we cruised (out of 6 times) and never formally met our stateroom stewardess. Luckily, we didn't need anything, but we never saw her for 7 days! We chose 4 excursions and 2 of the 4 were great, one was okay and the 4th one was bad. I would highly recommend the zip-line excursion in Ketchikan and the Mendenhall Glacier River Float in Juneau. The Yukon Railroad ride in Skagway is scenic and interesting, it just gets a bit too long on the way back down the trail. The Harbor Life Marine Cruise in Prince Rupert was a bust.Ports of call

Pros: Ability to dine where you wanted to, good activities onboard, excellent at embarking and disembarking.
Cons: A bit of difficulty making reservations at the specialty restaurants
