Norwegian Sun

7 Night Alaska & Sawyer Glacier (Seattle Roundtrip)

Sail date: July 29, 2006

Ship: Norwegian Sun

Cabin type: Balcony

Reviewed: 18 years ago

Review summary

Our family of four (two kids, two adults) shared a cabin. While our bed was relatively comfortable, the kids were miserablerable with their accomadations. A pull-out sofa bed. The bed felt exactly like plywood. We requested additional comforters and pillows to try and make the bed more comfortabel)This wasnt very successful as the pillows would slip off the bed while sleeping. No one could remedy the situation. As for the weather, be sure and bring layers, including a warm jacket if you plan on doing any tours at sea or glaciers. We highly reccomend the helicopter glacier tour in Skagway

We enjoyed the Circ-type stage show and FABIO ZINI, some of the comedians were less than par.The comedian by the last name of Murray was pretty funny

It was just "ok". Our kids (13, 16) were pretty bored with the club

A bit more to do here. Time is to short. I think we arrived at 7:00 am and had to be back on board by 1:30pm

Prince Rupert, British Columbia

We loved fishing for Halibut. Kids stayed on the ship. Only in port four hours. Why stop?
Don't Miss: fishing

Pros: food was ok.

Cons: The port calls were wat too short, Not enough time in each port. Not sure why there is a stop in Prince Rupert Canada. And, you only have four hours to visit. I felt there was too much time at sea for this 7 day cruise.
