Communication about excursions could have been better - we did not realize we had to meet in the ballroom versus on the pier for the 1 excursion we booked through the ship - would have been a helpful reminder. However - we had 2 time changes - they left notes on the bed and in the daily flyer.
I would recommend that all staff be more friendly. I have been on many cruises and every time I walked passed a staff member they would say hello. This did not happen on your cruise and actually a lot of them were a little rude. Only a few stuck out to me as very polite and helpful.
Absolutely get a balcony on this itinerary. There is just too much to see and at night in some of the waters you could see dolphins chasing and playing by the boat.
Make sure the boat is working. After we took the trip, I googled the Norwegian Star azipod (that was the broken part) and it is always going down. That can really mess up a cruise.
Norwegian is mostly nice and one can do pretty much what one enjoys. If you don't like to have long meals, the buffet is the place to go. In this cruise we always found good food. The entertainment most of the evenings is outstanding. Those who care for the daily activities will find something do do
Take plenty of reading material for additional unplanned sea days. There isn't much else to do and until NCL finally solves drive problems that have existed for years, there may be lots of unplanned additional sea days.
No problem with the ships Captain or crew. Some bad decisions were made to keep this ship sailing after experiencing propulsion problems back in Dec. of 2016? I think their were many unhappy people who started their trip from its original port of embarkment.
