Review summary

NCL has slipped in Service, Ship cleanliness, Ship Maintentence, even the crew that sprays you hands when you renter the ship and the buffets missed over and over again.

On on our first tour we even had the guide using the "F" bomb over and over again.

We had the same experience as yk07us. We sailed in August with the Baltics as our itinerary. Ship was clean, food was great in buffet as well as Specialty restaurants. Crew was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure you were happy. We also like the smaller ships, less crowds. We always take private excursions, so can't comment on the "Norwegian" sponsored tour.

We have just finished a 14 night cruise on the Norwegian Star. My impression of the ship is different: it was clean and the crew worked hard to keep it clean. The food was delicious in regular restaurants, O'Sheehan's and Ginza (we didn't go to specialty places). We ate breakfast and lunch at the buffet, no complaints. Before starting this cruise I read a lot of posts on this site about the Star and I'm happy to report that it's a nice smaller ship in good condition and everyone does all they can to make sure we had great time. Just don't expect it to be a Getaway or Breakaway. As far as the vulgar guide, I agree he or she shoul be reported to the Shore excursions manager. It's unacceptable. Enjoy your cruises.

Guide using "vulgar" language is not NCL's fault. People need to report things and all these problems would be noted. Next time consider "calling them" out on matters like this. I wont tolerate "Vulgarity" regardless of where I am! Getting "Aged" brings that kind of behavior out in Myself. It is Lack of respect and I seriously doubt any cruise line would appreciate/tolerate this behavior. 😏
