I have cruised many times. This ship is NOT recommended at all. Entertainment was not good, food always cold, most staff rude, lost luggage, telephone broke, laundry line broke, dirty sheets, no soap in soap dispenser, not enough chair or lounge chairs on deck.

The crew seemed to go out of their way to please you. We met the Cruise director and the staff multiple times.

I went on the cruise with my husband, 2.5 year old daughter, my parents, and my in-laws. It was a wonderful family vacation! Everything was excellent. The food was great, the service was impeccable, and it was just simply fun and relaxing!

We had a great honeymoon. The staff is amazing, always friendly. The dining on board is so fantastic!

Overall the ship was beautiful. the layout was very easy to learn. the ships decor was very nice. the music by the pool was irritating. the musicians didn't really sing they just kept repeating the same phrases over and over again. it would be nice to have a place that you can swim without having to listen to the band. Towards the end of the cruise. the ship had a very strong human waste odor. this odor seemed to be located towards the aft of the ship. Casino. we love to gamble but because smoking was allowed in the casino, we walked into the casino and walked out and never returned for the entire cruise. please consider a smoke free casino for future cruises.

all the crow members were trying thier best so we can enjoy the time.

Overall impression of the Norwegian Star was OK. In comparison with prior cruise on Norwegian Gem, the Star seemed smaller and older, but still acceptable.

A very pretty ship and wonderful dining!

The staff was pleasant although I didn't experience any over the top customer service. The ships activities were a bit lame and the prize value for anything was very cheap. Bingo was very expensive and again the prize payouts were very cheap. The food was not the best at the free restaurants and basically the same thing over and over. I did hear that the upcharge restaurants were better but I did not experience those. The chocolate buffet was a joke, the displays looked like they had been taken out of the closet. I tasted the chocolate mousse and it was terrible.

The ship was very clean and updated well.

The pool area seemed outdated, however the activities really made the experience enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised that our stateroom had more storage and larger bathroom than on Norwergian Sky.

Numbering of cabins is confusing.

The ship was huge. The restaurants beautiful. Entertainment enjoyable. I would recommend this ship.

The volume in the Stardust Theater was ear-splitting. Clean ship, similar layout to the GEM.

Friendliess crew on any ship I have been on. The food didn't seem to be as good as my other cruises.

Overall very nice. Exceptions- We were told a slight obstruction of view in the room and it was a large obstruction and the room steward continued to leave drinking glasses for two guess instead of three guests.

This is the second cruise I've taken on the NCL Star. The first one was in May of 2011. The main dining room was very disappointing on this trip. The meals were poorly cooked, bland and very limited choices. The pastry chef on this ship should be fired for lack of inspiration. But the staff is very friendly and very helpful. We had problems our first night and they went out of their way to help us get moved to a different stateroom. Some of the public areas are tired and worn looking, especially the Stardust Theater. Avoid sitting in the first few rows of seats. The chairs need repair as they 'throw' you forward when you sit in them. The Marketplace buffet dining was very good on this trip and the entertainment while getting the washy-washy spray was kind of fun.

Our first time on Norwegian and we were favorably impressed overall. Ship needs some updating in the pool area. And the buffet area is not up to the quality of the rest of the ship. But entertainment was terrific as was the food and service in the dining room. Itinerary was very good as was the efficiency in boarding and disembarking. Staff was wonderful.

When we first stepped on the ship, all I could say was Wow. It looked just like I pictured a cruise ship would look. Being first-timers, we were confused about what to do or where to go until the announcement that we could go to our rooms. I would have liked to have had a little more handholding for first-timers.
