Review summary

The cruise was bad enough but our treatment at the end of the cruise and after when we try to seek some compensation from Norwegian was terrible. We were never served our 45th anniversary dinner in the main dining room we received our appetizer and then nothing for an hour when we saw some remedy from the restaurant manager .... nothing. we then went to the buffet only to find it was closed before 10 PM when it should have been open. Worse yet when we complained again we were given a number to call after the cruise which we later found out to be just a recording where you could not even leave a message. Because of the ships mechanical difficulties we missed almost half of the ports that we took this cruise to see. Norwegians reimbursement was $100 non-refundable onboard credit for missing almost half the cruise ports.

Buffet was terrible, one day frozen rolls with a gray mystery lunchmeat and plastic wrapped cheese slices. Fresh fruit was our lunch!!!

The first day we went to our cabin to find a broken shower that had to be held in order to get a shower, a broken towel bar and two beds pushed together that were different heights by 6 inches. We told the steward he said there was nothing he could do. We later complain to the desk nothing was repaired during the entire cruise.

This ship has been having problems since way back. They are taking peoples money and not delivering what is offered. I agree with everything said and I wont be crusing with NCL again.

Sorry you had issues. As stated in the cruise contract everyone agrees to when booking, the ports and itinerary are not guaranteed. The only reimbursement requirement is for any port charges already paid for ports that were missed. Ports are missed for a variety of reasons- weather, mechanical, medical, political or other issues. If specific ports are of importance, you should always get a comprehensive travel insurance policy that will compensate you for a missed port or itinerary change.

To be Jones we were in the cruise 3nov -10 Nov. We missed 2 stops for mechanical reasons too. That doesn’t bother me but that was the 4 th week in a row that it was supposed to have happened. Either fix the ship (only one working engine) or change schedule. We missed Santorini and Mykonos as they could depend on enough engine to get them there and back. I still had a great time as I was on holiday .......

Ansherlixd, Derek is not being rude, he is merely stating the fact that the agreement they signed said the ship could miss any or all ports for any reason with no compensation. It was nice that they were given something and it's fair to express it would have been nicer to get more but the truth is the ship did not have to give anything even if we feel they should.

Wow, that sucks you had such a bad experience. That was not at all my experience with them. I LOVE the staff there and have been on that ship about 7 times.
