Review summary

We were disappointed that our Greek Cruise was really not a Greek Cruise and the 2 main reasons for going--Mykonos and Santorini--were cancelled. We felt like there was a lack of transparency as to the reason for the cancellation on NCL's part. We were supposed to hit 5 ports and more than half were cancelled--Kotor; Myknos; and Santorini. But we made the most of what we did do and the staff was wonderful at every level. Our cabin was really lovely. I would say being up front and clear about what is going on would be helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The dining rooms were fine. Food in the main dining rooms was fair. The specialty restaurants were really good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There were not enough non-group indoor activities. Other Norwegian ships have in the pub billiards, darts etc.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the trivia, bingo, game show games.

Well what did the ship tell you about the cancellation reason? Obviously, no one would be happy but we all know cruise lines don't sell cruises just so they can cancel ports. The cruise lines lose a lot of money when they have to cancel (much of their profit is from excursions) plus people complain about them. Remember, if the port is really important to you, don't book a cruise. Too many things can make you miss it. Fly there directly. Otherwise, hope for the best but know, you will eventually miss ports on a cruise.
