Review summary

As first time cruisers, we have heard the bad and the good from other cruisers. It is really what you make of it. We had a wonderful time, great weather, great service from staff, excellent food choices, and really professionally run excursions. Cabin was clean and well kept by staff, any needs were attended to as soon as possible. The kids really enjoyed the kids club, never wanted to leave it, made lots of friends. I have to say they had a excellent kids staff. We will definitely cruise Norwegian again.

The only issue about this cabin, is there is a port window or something on 3 (according to staff) that bangs outside during the night when traveling on open water. If you get motion sickness, you feel the motion more on the lower decks at night. Definitely wear a sea band. However, the location was close to elevators and stairs. Easy access to everything. The room was larger than I expected and clean. The four of us each had a bed and we were not at all that cramped. I have been in smaller rooms in Chicago and NY.

Gumblina Park Reserve and Tabyana Beach was a great excursion. William was a great guide. Kids loved it.

Relaxing day - half day on port. Most expensive Mexican food, don't even bother. We have better in Richmond, VA.

Dolphin Excursion was fun, but very disorganized from port to facility, spent hour waiting for instruction. Dolphin trainers were very professional though.

Chirocop, although I wasn't too fond of the Star due to how small she is, it was still a beautiful ship. I definitely do not agree with comparing the Star to Oasis. The Oasis is one of the largest ships sailing. It definitely wouldn't be a fair comparison.
