Review summary

We much prefer Celebrity to Norwegian. Freestyle is not for us. It is impossilbe to get a resevation at one of the other "no charge" restaurants unless you call a day or 2 ahead, so where is the freestyle in that? The food is very subpar to Celebrity. The buffett never changed it's menu. Room service menu is VERY limited. We never got to know even one crew member by name since you never really have the same one twice, except for maybe your room steward. Rooms are not cleaned very well, dust and dirt on floor from previous guests. Our kids got rashes on their necks from bed bugs we suppose. The entertainment was good, but the Stardust Theatre was very uncomfortable, and you had to get there 1/2 hour early to get a decent seat. I really don't like not having a dress code. You feel overdressed or even underdressed at times. It's nice when everyone is on the same page. Pool area was OK, but no lounge chairs by the pool. You had to go up to the next deck to get a lounge chair, so it wasn't easy to just get a quick dip in the pool from your chair. We would not cruise with Norwegian again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Not enough variety. Very inconvenient to try and eat at a "specialty" restaurant.

Service and Staff

No one went above and beyond. We always over tip certain crew members, but not this time.

Ship Quality

They don't have a very high standard for cleaning. Tables in a bar had dust on them.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Stateroom was never very clean. The bathroom was planned out very well for the space.

Ports of call

Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Mexico

Take a water taxi over to Playa Las Gatas (Cat's Beach). Great snorkerling. Wonderful open air restaurants with chairs and unbrellas and $20 massages.
Don't Miss: Playa Las Gatas

Acapulco, Mexico

Shotover jet is a must do along with cliff divers at night. Friends got a taxi for the day and went to a water park, got to swim with the dolphins and see a show. Taxi driver stayed with them all day for $100 US.
Don't Miss: Shotover Jet

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Alot of jungle type things to do. We did the Canopy tour with zip lines in the tops of the trees. It was great fun. Swim with the dolphins is also awesome.
Don't Miss: PV Canopy tour

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Beaches are so-so here. Take a catamaran and go snorkeling.

Pros: NEW MOVIES IN THE ROOMS

Cons: "FREESTYLE" AND TO FOOD
