Review summary

I would recommend this ship and Mexican Riviera to anyone! We had an awesome time from start to finish! The ship was very nice and always clean. The shows were OK, nothing to write home about but still enjoyable. Lots of room on the decks to lay out in the sun and a nice sized pool with lots of hot tubs! Restaurant service was excellent in the main dining rooms, but kind of hard to get a reservation in the other dining rooms. The staff was great and very friendly, we had lots of laughs with them! Room service was very good and the kids loved the Blue Lagoon for those late night munchies! Overall, I would do it again and will be back with Norwegian Cruise Lines!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was very good and we loved the convenience of eating at whatever timed worked for us. The specialty restaurants got booked up fast though and was kind of pricey. The variety of food was very good, something different to choose from each day for the whole 8 days.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The times for the shows was good. I would say the quality of the shows was OK, we liked them better on Carnival.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
There was not a lot of activities for children 10-12 years old. They combined the 6-12 years olds together and that was too wide of an age range to keep the interests of all. The only thing offered at night was a babysitting service.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was awesome! Everyone was always cheerful and very helpful. The kids enjoyed the dance parties and the staff would always be there to dance with them!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The decor was great and the condition of the ship was super! It was clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size of our suite was nice. The closet shelves were very hard to get at and see what was on them. The balcony was large and so was the bathroom.

Ports of call

Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Mexico

This stop was a little better than the previous. The beach was nice, which is where we spent most of our day.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

5 out of 5
This stop was beautiful. We enjoyed walking on the cobblestone walkways along the beach where there were restaurants and lots of shopping.

Acapulco, Mexico

This was our worst stop. It was dirty and smelled bad! There was a dead cat on the street that everyone had to walk by all day! As soon as the sun went down, we were back in our room. Too many beggers!

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Very pretty, jet skiing was great and the beaches were gorgeous with white sand! Shopping was awesome!
Don't Miss: Shopping

Pros: The flexibility to eat what and when you want

Cons: The buffet selections
