We were all worried about roughs seas on this cruise as we were cruising into Tropical Storm Colin. The captain did a wonderful job taking us down the coast instead of direct to Bermuda. We had almost completely smooth sailing and only missed a few hours in Bermuda.

My wife fell and broke the femur bone in her leg,Ships doctor said she had to get to a hospital,Coast Guard sent a boat out to cruise ship and transfered us to it at 12:00 am it was an hour and a half ride back to base,there we were brought to Cape Cod hospital,doctor said break was more than he wanted to do,so ambulance took her to Mass.General Hospital and Sun.Aug 8 she was operated on to repair the broken bone. I was pleasently surprised about this ship and cruise line. We have taken Royal Carribean in the past and took this ship because it went out of Boston. I would recommend this cruise line again. We plan on taking another trip next year. SO easy to go direcly out of Boston - no air etc. The staff was great, shows were fine, food was good - enough of it etc. They had plenty to do. We had 18 yr of boys and they were happy that they could drink, gamble on the ship. This was a cruise of a lifetime for them.

I was surprised that a $12/person/day charge was added to our bill for gratuities. add that one up for a family of 6 ! Also 3 of the 8 restaurants had no cover charges...meaning 5 rest. onboard charged anywhere between $10-$25/person to eat there...no much for choices for meals being included in the fare??? 2 of the 3 restaurants that had no cover charge, had the same menu, so technically you had 2 choices, as long as you didnt want to pay extra in cover charges...very misleading.

The ship is tired! Needs some work. Rust, bathrooms had funny odor, some areas just not up to standards. I will say every issue brought to staff attention was dealt with quickly and with great apology

The ship is just OK. There are no "Wow!"'s on board. The restaurants are very good. The activities are just all right. The Kid's club program is very good.

Ship was excellent. We were on this ship last year to Bermuda and it just gets better! Sorry to see it leaving Boston for next year's cruises to Bermuda.

It is an older ship but still has all the amenities needed to have a pleasant vacation.

I have been on 8 cruises, this was the worse cruise ever. The food was terrible, same food day after day at the buffett. Even the deserts did not taste good. The shows were just ok. I have seen much better on other ships. The staff were ok, they did not go out of their way like I have seen on Royal Caribbian ships. I will never sail with Norwegian again.

We just left the Norwegian Spirit and I miss it already. I loved waking up early with my shades open to the open sea. I highly recommend a room with a balcony as there is nothing like having your own deck to sit on! The staff were always friendly and helpful. No matter what was needed they would be there for you. But make sure that if you are prone to seasickness that you are prepared! Some of the at sea days can be rough and you will want to make sure that you can enjoy every minute of the cruise. The food was plentiful and good as well. We only tried Teppanyaki for dining and had a blast that night. Otherwise, The Blue Lagoon had incredible frenchfries.

Since last going NCL, it has deteriorated a lot. The drinks at breakfast were basically water. The once beautiful Star Leo was poorly maintained. The room had someone's shoes under the bed upon arrival, the area behind the curtains had probably not been cleaned in months it had dozens of pubic hairs...right next to your bed no less. To make a week cruise out of what should have been 6 days they went less than 10knots for two days. Oh they wanted to charge $55 a person for a tour of the ship.

Everything was clean, shiny, and bright. The only negative aspects were from the passengers: people who let their children run wild as late as midnight; shoeless and shirtless people in eating areas; the rudeness of disembarking passengers. Be sure to meet Shama in the Galaxy of the Stars - she was the friendliest staff member!

This was my first cruise and it was a BLAST! My husband and I brought out 3 kids, moms, father, and sister along to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and my husband's 40th birthday. We had been to Bermuda before, but we flew and stayed at 9 Beaches. This time we thought we would cruise there from Boston. Overall, we had a fantastic time and we already pre-booked our next trip!

We recently cruised to Bermuda from Boston on the Spirit. The ship was very clean and updated. The food was excellent and plentful. The staff was friendly and accomidating. The cabins were adequate enough for sleeping and showering...we didn't want to stay in our cabins all day. The shows were entertaining and were not too long...we had a lot to do on the ship and didn't want to sit through a long production. Sailing out of Boston is aswesome and very convienient...no dealing with airlines rules and long rediculious lines is very cool. I would recommend this trip to anyone with kids small and tall. Plenty to do for all ages. Can't wait to book it again.

This was a beautiful ship where the staff appeared committed to making it the best sailing experience for everyone! The ship was clean, great entertainment, friendly staff, many activity choices, and large rooms. The freestyle cruising was a great way to go. Never felt pressured or stressed about time to eat, where to eat, what to wear, who to sit with, etc.

This was our first cruise on NCL (The Spirit) and we were really impressed. Having gone on a cruise with Holland America a few years earlier we anticipated that this one would not be in the same high category. We were wrong and enjoyed this cruise every bit as much as our first.
