Review summary

This was our first cruise on NCL (The Spirit) and we were really impressed. Having gone on a cruise with Holland America a few years earlier we anticipated that this one would not be in the same high category. We were wrong and enjoyed this cruise every bit as much as our first.

Food and Dining

The food was so good in the regular restaurants we did not go to the specialty restaurants. We did here other passengers complain about Cagney's food and service.

Entertainment

Every show we saw impressed us. Arvin and Emily are a MUST SEE! Emily is the best singer I have ever seen, outdoing both Whitney Houston and Barbara Streisand. You have to hear it to believe it. You can't help but love them.

Service and Staff

The ship staff could not have been more helpful. A++

Everything was very clean and well maintained. I do wish that the casino was non-smoking.

Cabin / Stateroom

My only complain was how small the cabins and bathroom areas were. You have to be careful as my wife was trying to get out between the bed and the wall and caught her foot on the bed skirting and took a hard fall. They also need some fine tuning; one light bulb didn't work, door stopper was broken, and the attached ash trays in the bathrooms need to go.

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

Our feeling was get on the ferry and/or bus and head out to St. George or Hamilton. What they had at King's Wharf was limited and expensive.
