Review summary

This was my first cruise and it was a BLAST! My husband and I brought out 3 kids, moms, father, and sister along to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and my husband's 40th birthday. We had been to Bermuda before, but we flew and stayed at 9 Beaches. This time we thought we would cruise there from Boston. Overall, we had a fantastic time and we already pre-booked our next trip!

Food and Dining

We highly recommend spending the extra money for the cover charges for the specialty restaurants. The buffet at Raffles can get boring.

Entertainment

Most shows were phenomenal, but a few were not worth the time-no biggie-just left the ones that stunk. There is always lots to do and choose from.

Service and Staff

Many staff were wonderful, but some were not. One waiter was horrid in the Windows restaurant. Overall-they were ok.

Ship Quality

It took a couple of days to get used to the layout, but it was pretty easy to get around. Wait times for the elevators can be LONG! Use the stairs-burns off the extra calories from the food anyways!

Cabin / Stateroom

Roomier than expected. DO get a window if you can. My mother-in-law has been on several cruises before and NEVER had a window until this cruise. She said she will never have a room without a window again.

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

Be sure to bring CASH for bus passes and other expenses. We thought they would take credit cards and were bummed when we saw the sign-cash only. Shopping is great and just walking around is fun. We chartered a sloop (www.bermudacharters.com) on our own and was fantastic! It cost less than the NCL excursions and we got the whole ship to ourselves for 4 hours. We sailed around the islands, snorkeled, and they even got us a cake to celebrate our anniversary on board! We also did Hartley's helmet dive, the crystal caves, and went to Horseshoe Bay beach.
