Review summary

The cruise was fantastic. This was my first cruise in 25 years and my first cruise with my children. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel valued and to make our experience the best possible. Upon arriving onboard, we did receive a letter from the captain that we would be stopping at a different port (Icy Strait Point) as opposed to Valdez. For a researcher like me, this was frustrating to not be able to look in advance as to what that port had to offer so we could make the most of our time there. We also didn't have internet available so I wasn't able to look while on board....

While the room initially appeared small, the three of us had plenty of room. The bed that folded down from the ceiling was a hit with my two boys, the other bed was roomy and comfortable. The bathroom offered enough room for our needs. The storage available was more than we actually needed or used.

The passengers are divided into different color groups based on how they are leaving the ship. My color was called a half hour before when it was supposed to be, and then we just stood in line and waited.
