Review summary

Upon arrival on the Spirit, and first look into our room which was to sleep four, we only saw three beds. Our room attendant got a little annoyed with us for asking him to explain how that was going to work. These inside rooms are pretty small for four adults....two almost eighteen year olds. For us to not be able to move about the cabin because one of the beds was between the two twins on the floor made the cabin even smaller! By the looks of the pictures I saw, it looked like we would have a bed (two twins put together) with two upper births. Ha! What a joke! The bed that was pulled out also had a huge divot in it. Might be okay for a tiny kid, but not an almost 18 year old. When we approached our room attendant about that, once again seemed like he really didn't want to deal with it. His solution was to put extra bedding under the divot....which just made it super lumpy. A trip to the customer service scored us a new mattress. Yay, customer service! Our room attendant also gave us the run a round about the beach towels. They brought us the original ones to our room, which after use we left on the floor assuming the attendant would take care of them. He left them there and when questioned said we had to return them to the towel exchange. However, the towel exchange told us he was supposed to take care of them. We also never got the chocolates we saw other people receiving...he must not have liked us!! Also, we were used to the luggage being removed from the room and returned the night before we get back...that didn't happen...we had to shove everything under the one bed we could get to.Food was pretty good....ran out of chicken wings in Blue Lagoon on the last night....REALLY?? Had a little language barrier about the difference between RANCH and BLUE CHEESE.....Had a two hour dinner at Windows (Main Dining Room) one night...the eighteen year olds sat at their own table. We were done in 45 minutes....they were sitting there for two hours.  Too many negatives vs. positives for us to sail with Norwegian again. We've had some better experiences with other lines.

Entertainment

The singers and dancers were really good. The magician was lame. He was better in the "Elements" show. The comedian was really good. The Aerialists were good.

Service and Staff

An unhappy face does not reflect on the whole crew...but you expect your room attendant to be wanting to do his best for you and we certainly didn't get his best. Marie in the dining room is AWESOME!! And customer service came through for us! Thank you!

We never got the chocolates either, in fact we never even met our attendant I have no clue who it was!

Sorry you did not have a good cruise.   As you have noticed above,  different people on the very same cruise can have very different experience.  Also each ship crew can be good or bad.  I had the worst cruise on NCL Star but good cruise on the Pearl.   I tend to put NCL at the bottom of my list when looking for a cruise.

Hope your next cruise is all you hope it to be.

Back to backs count as one cruise As you are paying one price.

I got chocolate in the box when we arrived. It was Whitman samplers..4 in a box with a bottle of wine. We are Platnium and cruised with Norwegian 14 times Back to backs don't count on the same ship.

The inside cabin is entirely too small for four "adults." Sorry your cabin attendant was not hospitable. One of the tips I learned on one of the sites is to "grease the palm" with a $20 when first introducing yourself to your attendant. Goes a long way and you should see the extra service you get and attention not to mention big smile. Chocolates only go to Norwegian latitude members.

I've cruised with Norwegian 14 times. Never seemed to have had a problem. One time a cabin had trouble with some water and it came into our cabin. Things happen, but maintenance took care of it right away. Every crew is different and we want good treatment. I'm sorry to hear your experience was not good. Try another line and hope you will be happier. Once something happens to a person on any vacation, it seems all down hill from there. We've cruised with Princess, Royal and Holland and it was great.

Again. If I was traveling with four people. No matter the sizes or ages I would never book an inside room on any cruise line.

This was our first cruise. We didn't have a great experience either. The room was way to small for 4 people. And 2 of ours were kids. I won't be going with NCL again either

Maybe you should upgrade to a bigger room seeing you have four adults. My pool towels were replenished every day. And we also got chocolates on the pillows every night. I was able to slide my suit cases under my king sized bed. I didn't need anyone to take them away. Maybe you should have sat at the same table as your kids during your family vacation and you all would have been served together.

What line takes your empty luggage away. That would be nice just never heard of it. Also, does the website not give the room dimensions? I know Carnival and Disney both do.
