the ship itself was ok. we have been on others that were just phenomenal,and this one ok. if it weren't for the piano girl "Laurie", i would have rated this cruise probably yuck. she became the life of the boat, interacting with all the guests using her musical talent and quick wit, along with a variety of sayings in so many different languages. she actually made this cruise for me and my wife, because up until the time that we watched her perform we had terrible food, so-so entertainment, a cruise director full of himself, a smoke filled casino that i didn't go into but wanted to( i couldn't breathe it stunk so bad),and just ok ports of call. if it weren't for the great deal that this cruise was, i would never take it again. there are too many better options. and if it wasn't for the piano girl, i would probably never cruise on norwegian again.

Ship was nice, and food was great. Shower was far too small. All the little hidden fees are annoying, and feel a little too much like a big sales pitch.

This was our first cruise. We shopped around and looked at different cruise lines. Input from friends guided us to Norwegian. Our first cruise was everything that we hoped for and we were not disappointed with anything.

It was a great experience for our family, having the chance of spend quality and very relaxing time. Food everywhere, at all times, very conveniente for all of us. Breakfast in "Cagney"s one of my family's favorites. Live music, activities for the teens. Enjoy the different live presentations and commedy in the Theater, just a perfect entertainment for the whole family. Excellent for me to have a chance to continue with my routine in the gym., the crew is always kind and willing to help you, and very courteous at all times. I love the last island we visited, and be able to have everything handy. Decoration and details in the Penthouse suite we were in, was awesome and the attention was excelent. We all enjoy being 4 days there!! and enjoy the live music at all times, different styles, at different times, just convenient for everybody, had a great time @ Dazzles, it was just unforgetable.

My first time freestyle dining and I like it better the other way. Food was just OK. Always takes a while to get my bearing but after a time or two it proved quite easy to find my way around. Would like to sit around the pool but music was too loud but did find a quiet area most of the time with some searching.

The ship itself was not bad. The overall condition was good and presentable. The ship appeared to be well maintained.

My wife and I booked on Norwegian as a first for us after hearing rave reviews of the Norwegian Line. Overall appearance of the ship was lovely however other aspects of the ship needed work. I must mention that for my wife and I we are not hard to please especially in relax mode. One of my wife's pet peeves is cleanliness. Unfortunately that is where we hit strike one, towels both for the pool and room were dingy at best. Strike two was the food in the freestyle restaurants. Appeared to be the same menu day after day. Okay for first couple of days but boring after that. Strike three was after being bored with freestyle we went to the restaurants. Unfortunately having to pay additional seemed to be unfair to us after booking an all inclusive cruise. In addition portion sizes were small and almost forced a midnight snack which is something we never do at home. The killer for the trip was service or lack thereof. Only a portion of the crew even greeted you as they passed you in the hall and there appeared to be no one going the extra mile to ensure good service. I believe we are fair people and have agreed not to totally write off the Norwegian line prior to cruising on a different ship, probably not freestyle this time though. Overall the purpose of the cruise was some alone time for my wife and I and that was accomplished so all was not lost. P.S. Our booking agent Emily M. was definitely an highlight of our cruise. I adjusted our arrangements a couple of times with the last one being the Friday before we left and Emily was more than happy to oblige each time. I will definitely book additional trips through Emily.

The ship was old and outdated. The Norwegian Sky was not what we expected. We took our 6 and 8 yr old on their first cruise and my 8 yr old thought that it was for only older people. Not a lot of kid activites (we were told there was a lot of things to do for their age group) WRONG!!!!!! They only had the kids corner and the pool.

It was awesome. My mom, sister, my sisters friend and I went and had the most relaxing and fun time. It is definetely something we will always remember.

Although the SKY is an older ship, it has been well taken care of. There probably would not be a lot of extra exciting activities for the kids (no large slides, rock climbing, etc) but there was still plenty for them to do.

The crew was extremely professional and all about the happiness of the people. I have never had such a great time. Everyone made my stay an enjoyable moment.

Three of my friends joined me on the Norweigian SKY. This was the first for two of them. We had an enjoyable time. The nightly entertainment was excellent as was the food. However, the cabins and the bathrooms were small, and there was a limited number of TV stations. Free Styling, as this cruise was considered, made dining easy in the regular dining rooms; reservations (and an ADDITIONAL FEE) were made available for 3 other restaurants.

it was a great cruise the food was very boreing unless you went to a speciality restasurant. it was the same things over and over. the food that was served was good everyone on the ship was very friendly and helpful. they took good care of our room and of us. we arre sailing again on ncl in jan of 2011. i would use this cruise line again

Fair, decently maintained and with no foul odors

The ship's employees and activity options were excellent. This was my first time experiencing "Freestyle Cruising" and this is what all ships should offer. You didn't feel obligated to do anything, even eat, unless you wanted to do so. The employees were always nice and helpful. I also loved the embarkation/disembarkation process--ran smoothly and completed in a relatively short period of time. The only con is the size of the stateroom. For anyone who has traveled on newer ships, the size of the Sky's stateroom will seem tiny (because it is an older ship). But since I didn't spend much time in the cabin, then it really didn't impact greatly on the enjoyment of the cruise.

This was our first cruise and the expectations were high, but unfortunately, we were totally disappointed. I will definitely NOT recommend this cruise to my friends

my last cruise we could eat in any restaurant. we will pay only for the drinks and tip the server. we didn't have to pay for the soft drinks and pay $12.00 a day per person.

Every place that we went, the staff was friendly and wanting to exceed our expectations - especially the speciality restaurants. I would highly recommend paying the extra money to experience the fine dining. The only negative experience was that the teen room was never opened when my son and I went there and the Wii family bowling did not have anyone running it, and spent 15 mintues trying to find who was in charge of the program. A group of us only got to play for 15 mintues before it ended because of other prgrams that were scheduled.

we had a terrible experience. We travel very often special on cruises and as a first timer on NCL we spected a lot more. Food service @ spa and the room cleanest was just not there. We think we won't travel with NCL anymore. We hace cruise Disney Royal Carnival and Celebrity with out a doubt NCL MUST improve to have customer back to them that have travel with other lines
