We booked at the last minute and it was a great New Year's Getaway!  It was the first cruise for my friend and she had a great time!  It was AWESOME!!!!!

Husband and I celebrated our 10 yr anniversary on this trip. Great Stirrup Cay was amazing. While in Nassau, we took advantage of the bus tour, which allowed us to see more of the city than a typical excursion. On the next trip, we will take advantage of the ultimate dining package. Entertainment and activities were top notch.

I cruised Norwegian over Christmas week before and was very impressed with the quality of everything. This time, the only disappointment was the food. The complimentary food was barely warm and often over cooked. The food in the dining rooms where you had to pay extra was much better. The crew was friendly and professional and our room was very comfortable.

The entrance to the area to load unto the ship was very overwhelming but the support of the staff and associates were very impressive.  I believe it is know that this is the atmosphere that most travelers incur so the staff went the extra mile to make a smooth transition.  The rooms were available in a short matter of time.  The dining rooms were very will presented as the food.  But the Cruise Director (Taylor) and the entertainment was OUTSTANDING.  The staff maintained our room.  Especially the design of the towels/etc to make animals waiting on your bed was a very comfortable and enjoyable.

NCL decorated the ship for the holidays and included Christmas carols, special meals a holiday show and pictures with Santa.  This freestyle atmosphere was more casual than other cruises I've been on but seemed to work for the family groups onboard. The private island - Stirrup Key- was quite nice and fun for all with plenty of beach lounges in shade and sun.  Freeport was disappointing. Book a shore excursion at the stop or take a taxi to town as there is little to do at the port.

Great tour with excellent service before and under the tour.

Carol Menton from had arranged everything and we were informed well about the tour and what to do before the tour. She also had made reservations at the restaurant onboard.

Onboard we got a great service from the always-smiling staff. We have a gluten allergic in the group, but every think was arranged in advance and there was no problems onboard with dinning or anything else on board.

It's our first time to take cruise. Nothing to complain. Better than I expect. 

Although the room is really small, they still offer room service to keep everything feel comfortable. 

Considering it was only a three night cruise, it was very nice. I was not expecting some of the elaborate things an entertainment 

that you would find on a longer cruise. I thought the Vegas Review was very well done and Alvin Williams was a very good comedian. I detail in my other comments in this review some of the areas that I was not as happy about, but none of those would cause me not to cruise again on the ship. Overall a really good time.

We did lots of eating, lots of dancing and had a great time.   The cruise director gets everyone involved and is a high energy guy.   The shows were entertaining too.

Overall, we had a wonderful time on the Norwegian Sky. The crew was helpful and polite and both the food and the entertainment exceeded our expectations. My diabetic girlfriend was particularly appreciative of the sugar free offerings available in the buffet area. The only negative was the lack of a few things in our room such as ice and towels. The towels were delivered upon request but the ice was forgotten. All in all though, we had a great time on this cruise.

DJ Onyx and Sabor Habanero were great.

Night entertainment was ok at the Starburst was ok.Dining was acceptable. Would have.liked to try the nicer restaurants but we did not think paying additional would have been worth it.

I would to say that the experience was lovely since it was our first cruise! My husband n I had a great time the food the music the activities were over all to die for however the only one thing that took place which makes me give it a 4 star is that my Michael Kors watch was stolen from my room by staff from the ship. It happen on the day before we departed from the Nassau to return back to Miami, it was in my room on the night stand, once I realize it was missing I reported it and was very upset because the security was saying that maybe I left it somewhere else which in fact I didn't they filed a report and took me it will take time to replace if its replaceable and they search my room and luggage but found nothing, so my husband n I left to go relief stress n came back at night so as we packing our bags the watch was found in the outer side of my luggage which was search by security so the thief obviously was the room service staff! Once we noticed this we went back to security n showed the watch n all they said was oh sorry about that it seems like the thief put it back.... Like why should people experience stuff missing from their room n expect for us not to noticed our belongings are missing! That was unacceptable n for this they lost cool points 

We arrived at the port around 2 p.m. for a 5 p.m. departure. The checking line were long and we were in line for about 35 minutes even though we were in the "dedicated" Bronze frequent traveler line. Cabin was fine, clean with good service by our cabin attendant. Food in Main dining rooms was average. Nothing special. Biggest complaint, food under cooked. Lots to do on the ship and on shore. Private island was great. The staff did an excellent job providing lots of good food from the buffet. 

Although this was one of the smaller/older ships are experience was first class.  All the ship staff were friendly and eager to ensure we had enjoyable time and we most definitely did. I have told my friends they should cruise on the Sky. 

Very pleasantly surprised with our overall experience. Although we aren't heavy drinkers we really enjoyed the Ultimate beverage package. The ease of having a cocktail was really nice...

Very well kept older boat, staterooms were as expected - nothing fancy but very clean.  Food was very good (but not great - as you would expect on a newer boat).

This was my 7th cruise, first 3 night.  Bottom line:  For the money - it would be hard to find a better value!!  My expectation is that Norwegian would rate 5 stars on their 7+ day venues.

We been cruising for the past 15 years, our 1st cruise was with Norwegian, we didn't know what to expect, so everything was great. after that we started cruising with Carnival, NOW we know how this whole cruising thing is (we think) nothing went right, my wife left her sunglasses in the stateroom the next day we couldn't find them, we had an umbrella with us because it was raining the day we arrived, we left the umbrella inside the closet, Wednesday it wasn't there, we filed a report, but because what they stole from us wasn't worth more than $80.00 dills they didn't do anything about it."we can write you a note and if you have an insurance, file a claim with them, because there's nothing we can do" they told us. we were not asking for ANYTHING, but at least an apology for what happened would of make us feel like they cared...  

Was with the crew for 4 nights and felt we were very nicely entertained and treated with all nice food, beverages and "desserts".

Shows were amazing, Entertainment staff was HIGH energy and the whole experience was one that we would like to do time and again.

Wonderful experience, we had lots of fun. There was always something to do. Le Bistros was amazing and the staff was great especially our room attendant.

We are experienced NCL cruisers, having reached their Lattitudes Platinum level many years (and cruises) ago.  We put together a group of 19 family and friends to expose a dozen people to sailing for the first time, hoping they would enjoy the experience as much as we have.  We agreed on a shorter 4 day cruise for their first experience thinking the time and cost would be favorable to them.

  What a HUGE mistake to book the NCL Sky on their 4 day Bahamas (they do a 3 day the other part of a week).  It was like we were sailing with a different company than the real NCL that we know and love!

  Nothing felt right or comfortable for the 6 of us that routinely sail NCL.  The premier system of loyalty that NCL touts failed completely on this trip.  As the top tier Platinum level we got NONE of the minor awards we normally receive.  No early check in, no complimentary dinner, no bottle of wine, no candy/fruit in the staterooms, etc - Nothing.   When the on board cruise consultant finally showed up at her desk one day, I was told NCL doesn't see the need to do that for cruises less than 5 days.  When I expressed my disappointment and suggested that maybe our folks should give future business to Royal Caribbean, she replied matter-of-factly that would be our decision.  No effort to please at all.

  The crewmembers all seemed to have an indifferent attitude also (save for one nice dinner hostess, Revi).  Service was slow in the dining rooms, despite not being full when we attended, bar service was slow and the officers just walked on by in the hallways without a "hello".  Normally there is a main dining room open for lunch, but on the SKY it was only open the first and second days, forcing everyone to the buffet line. 

   I am guessing that they know a totally new group of vacationers come on board every 3 or 4 days so why go to any great effort.  There were many new employees to the ship that we ran into as we interacted with them, and many whose employee contract was about up, so that may explain some of the attitude.

  Our balcony cabin was pretty normal, except with the SKY remodel a few years ago they took out the in-room coffee pot, the small table/drawers, there is one less 110V plug, and they have turned off the Navigation channel on their on board TV's.

  The ports were fine, our folks enjoyed the excursions they went on, and we had 3 out of 4 nights of pretty smooth sailing on the seas.  If you are accustomed to sailing NCL and part of their loyalty program, this is not the cruise for you to book.  If you are looking for a short inexpensive cruise and you are a "Ken and Barbie" type looking to party hardy - this may be for you.
