The staff was the most friendly I've ever sailed with. The rooms, ship and eating areas were all nice and clean. This was my fourth cruise and all before had been on Carnival. We wanted to try something different so we tried Norwegian. The entertainment was very lacking in the amount but was good quality. Carnival has something going all the time and Norwegian didn't. Carnival is very informative with the passengers and Norwegian just excepted you to know what was going on. The free or included restaurants on Norwegian gave you an up-charge on things that you just get with Carnival such as lobster and steak. If you want a cruise to lay around and read or sleep or lay out by the pool then Norwegian has you covered. If you want to be entertained then go with Carnival.    

The boat was dirty, the food was awful, the people either acted like they did not see you or were hateful unless they were selling something. You have to stand in line for bar service. There is nothing to do at sea.

Taking a quick vacation before school started.  Took advantage of spending the whole first day on the ship and enjoying the pool and activities.  Got on ship by 11:30 and checked into to room by 1:30.  Definitely enjoyed the free drink package.  Traveling with teenagers (15yr & 19yr) and wasn't aware of the parental consent drinking option but my 19yr old quickly discovered it.  Essentially, a parent can sign for 18-21 year old to drink beer or wine during the cruise and the kid gets a new ID with PC on it.  Just be aware that your teenager may be offered drinks.  My 15yr old was asked if she wanted a drink at the pool without showing her ID.  Not a big problem but be aware.  Food was good-average cruise fare.  Didn't do any of the specialty restaurants.  There is no cell phone usage unless you pay for the packages on the cruise ship.  I did not and liked that my teenagers were disconnected for the week.  However, I would have liked to have cell phone access with my kids and traveling friends on the ship so we could check on location and make plans.  We ended up having a meeting place and confirming times.             ??maybe a texting on the ship for free Norwegian??  Excursions off the cruise ship: At Freeport, we took a taxi to Lucayan beach and had a great day.  Be careful, when you leave the cruise ship, there are numerous pushy locals that are trying to take you to there own 'private beach with internet access'.  The beach in Lucayan was beautiful and you can do may water sports. We did the double banana boat and enjoyed it.  Nice little straw market shopping center across from the beach.  The little ice cream place allowed you to buy ice cream and get internet access, so a good spot to check in on the rest of the world.  Taxi ride was $5 PP each way-no problems.  Nassau was frustrating.  Booked the Atlantis water park excursion through NCL.  The regular passes were sold out to purchase separately and book your own taxi.  All I can say is be prepared to wait..... we waited to catch the bus to Atlantis, then we waited in line to get into the park, then we waited in line to get a locker for our gear (30min), the we waited in line for a tube for the lazy river.  I would recommend streamlining you belongings and buying a waterproof necklace pouch with your credit card, ID, and cell phone/camera.  Buying lunch was a nightmare.  We waited in line to find out it was credit card only-no cash.  We went to the locker and got our credit cards and waited in line and placed our order.  When we went to pay, we had to show photo ID.  So we went back to the locker and got our photo ID.  The food counter workers were mean and not helpful. Food was average and not worth the wait if we had other options.  Couldn't get on the beach-access was closed.  Overall, it was OK to do once but wouldn't go back again.  The private island:  loved it!!  Beautiful location, lovely to rent a floating mat and just lie on the water and relax.  The water was so clear that we didn't need to rent snorkling gear and could just look in the water to see fish and sea turtles.  Totally enjoyed this day.  Back to the ship review: the rooms were old, clean, and small.  The third bed (pull out couch) was small and uncomfortable.  The shows were fun-loved the comedian.  Dancing at Dazzles lounge late at night was great.  NCL cruise was a great short vacation with kids, wouldn't have wanted to do a whole week.  

HAD A GREAT TIME, THE STAFF WAS GREAT, FOOD AND DRINKS WERE GREAT . IT WAS A GREAT WEEKEND TRIP AWAY. THE PRIVATE ISLAND WAS BEAUTIFUL. I WOULD DO IT AGAIN

This was the worst cruise ship I have ever been on! Terrible food, rude employees, 1 small swimming pool and at the time of my cruise all I had to listen to was the loud noise of construction work being being done right above the swimming pool. Why in the world would you even think that would be relaxing to lay around a small pool listening to the loud sounds of drilling and hammering? I purchased the all inclusive package and I could only eat at 2 of the cafeteria style restaurants. I actually had to pay separately out of pocket to eat some decent food! Then at the end of the cruise I was hit with a 300 bill with extra added charges, cleaning fees, and gratuities which were never mentioned to me when I purchased this trip!!!! My TV did not start working until the very last night of my vacation. So for 3 nights we only had 2 channels we could watch during the duration of the trip! Absolute terrible experience and waste of time I will never recommend this cruise to anyone that I know! 

 My first experience with Norwegian was much better then I was told it was going to be. The best part was the unlimited drinks. The music on board in every area was great. This ship overall was beautiful. The cons consist of poor variety of amenities. For example: there are no slides, rock climbing, etc.

For those with children, the camp charges extra if you leave your children for breakfast and/or lunch. The disembarkation to the private island was long; but overall we had a great time and I would return and recommend it!!

I had being looking to go cruising for a long time now and landed on norwegian sky, boy was that the best descision i ever made. I brought my mom with me last minute and it worked out perfectly for the both of us as it was her first cruise as well. Everything from food to activities was world class. All the staff were very kind and greatfull! You will never be bored, because there is always some thing to do! And if you pock sky, you will have the all inclusive free liquor package which was the best part of the cruise. All you can eat breakfast, bbq in the afternoon or the fancy dinner at night it doesnt get any better than that. The shore excersions were a blast as we want to several during our four night trip to beautiful bahamas, my favorite was the waverunner, the last day of the trip on stirrup cay island. Thank you Norwegian sky as you have changed our lives. We will be cruising every year now with norwegian sky, counting done to 2017...

It's all-inclusive but we surprisingly drank less than we normally do! Didn't have the non-alcoholic beer available and I was denied Pernod for some reason before dinner time. Otherwise Very friendly staff!! Had great times on the excursions! Room was the smallest I've been in on a cruise but it still functioned fine. Great ship for being an older refurbishment! Would definitely go again!

We have been on three cruises on three different cruise lines.  This cruise line is out favorite.  The small attention to detail was perfect from free drinks to a cold drink and towel when you return from am island.  Loved the entertainment and the friendly and attentive staff.  Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

My favorite part of the cruise was the casual environment.

We booked a balcony suite. The room could use some minor repairs and some fresh paint. Overall we were satisfied with our cruise and would recommend it to our friends.  

This cruise exceeded our expectations for the price we paid.  We thought the food would be ok, and our sit down dinners and breakfasts were great.  We thought since the drinks were included they would be watered down or bottom shelf, yet the bartenders did a great job with all types of mixed drinks with many of my favorite brands like Tito's.  Nightly entertainment like shows, games, and dancing kept us partying each night.  Their private island was the best day...it's beautiful and relaxing.  Nassau was cool, but everyone's trying to scam you...don't buy anything!  Freeport was nothing, so we spent that day on the boat by the pool, which was a great move, since it was less crowded.  Don't miss the white party, the piano guy or the guitar guy.  I guess the only complaint would be that the games like Bingo and Deal or No Deal seem rigged, it's all computerized and you need to spend a lot to play and they payouts are very small.

The stop in Great Stirrup Cay is by far the best part of the cruise. The beach is awesome with white sand, clear water and the chairs were included. The cruise atmosphere continued on the island with free refreshing and/or alcoholic drinks and barbecue lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

What could be better is the menu options for dinner in the main dinning rooms. We went the first two nights and because the main courses were not great we skipped the last two nights. The buffet offered at the Garden Cafe was better than in the main dinning halls. 

Pretty good entertainment and service, food  needs improvement, love private island ,ship old but in good condition and clean, beverages include but limited doesn't include premium drinks

The activities on the boat were the best.... But my cabin bathroom smelled Terrible (8209). Other then never wanting to be in my cabin due to the bad smelling bathroom the ship was worth the trip

Best all around value for a fantastic weekend - food, service, accomodations. friendly faces, activities made for a wonderful time.  The all inclusive drink package provides top notch choices and bartenders.   So pleased we did the cruise in April, in May I took my three twenty-something granddaughters, and my husband and I sailed again in July.

From the moment we checked in at the port to the time we left the ship to come home we had a great experience. I would have given it 5 stars, but the smoking in the common areas was a little disturbing. I can't believe that people still smoke indoors anymore. Besides that the rest of the trip was awesome. The boat was immaculate, the staff were incredibly friendly. Because we had a suite, the amenities were extremely appreciared. The butler and private concierge were very helpful. The daily breakfast in Cagney's Steakhouse was delicious. I highly reccomend splurging for the upcharge dining venues. I had the best Chillean sea bass ever while on this cruise. The all inclusive liquor with call brands really made it enjoyable. And surprisingly there was always bartenders and hosts waiting to take drink orders. Finally, the entertainment was also very good, especially the comedian. The cruise director did a great job of getting the guests involved. Highly reccomend this trip for anyone looking for a relaxing long weekend.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is what we love about Norwegian. Alcohol inclusive is a plus too. Ship was immaculate. Shows (especially Paul/piano player) and comedian . Activities plentiful for both adults and families. Food in abundance and always replenished where needed and seconds given with a smile. Also loved the private island day. Barbecues/food had many choices.

Two of the bar servers need to be recognized for efficiency and excellence ... Longboard Bar....Tim Chavez (Phillipines) and Captain Cook's....Sladana Bjelogrlic(Serbia).

The food was good, the full service system really worked, the service also very good especially the waitress Michelle from Philippines that served in the bar area in the 7th floor (cordial, great enthusiasm, always happy and very smart) and we found everything clean and in order. Some of the attractions were outstanding such as Paul (piano player) and the music bands that played in the 7th floor (by the bar). The timing of the ship worked very well. However, there is room for improvement: We were in room 266 (below the food deck) and it was very noisy beginning 3 am when they began to prepare the space for the breakfast (movement of chairs, tables, etc). The disembark did not work well since there was a lot of confusion from everybody, slow and long cues. Besides that, thumbs up! 

I would recommend the cruise to others. Everything on the ship was good, no complaints at all. It was a pity because we couldn't get a ticket for the aquarium at the Atlantis. The tour at Great Bahamas was hard because it was so hot.
