The ship had a funny smell, the music by the pool was so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you. The drinks on the bar hop were watered down. The full drinks were really expensive, the additonal $12 per day for what? The buffet was always hamburgers, hot dogs & chicken. The good restaurants were extra. Evey thing was extra money. There were hair pins in the floor that were not ours. The credit desk had our account screwed up and de-activated my husbands card, This was cleared up after we had to stand in line while 1 person talked to her coworker about who she hooked up with the night before. The restaurant reservation clerk acted like she was pissed that she had to make a reservation for 6 people, then answered the phone and ignored us to talk to the person on the phone while we were in the middle of asking about reservations for the next day. Horrible customer service......

my huuby and i cruise 2-3 times a yr and went on many carvinal cruise which is the best we tryed norwegian 2 time last yr was beter then this time first the lady in the luggae area yelled at my hubby 4 no reason she asked 4 a ticket which we didnt have one at that time so my hubby and i just left .. and second the cabin service didnt change sheets just 1 time on a 4 days cruise to the bahamas and didnt change the towels or our beach towels..not even any samples in the bath room no soap didnt fill the liquids soap cups they took our toothpaste at the airport so we had to buy soap and toothpaste ..it was our 11 yr annivaristy ..nice just ok we made the best of it and now we r home ..next yr bk to carvinal cruise..will never go on norweigan agin hubby doesnt like . because we dint go the the private island on the wed i asked 4 some serive credit they gave me $24 dollar credit which it should of been more ok.. i no next time bk to carvinal

Had a great time. The staff and crew members were very friendly and helpful, especially our cabin steward. Despite being one of NCL's older ships, it is very clean and well maintained. It was not particularly difficult to get deck loungers around the pool. It was a friendly and mixed group of guests.

The Norwegian Sky was definitely a well maintained and newer ship. Taken care of and very clean. Overall, the trip was very good and most staff wanted to make sure to at least say hi as they passed you. The food was however, just OK...better than some lines, but doesn't really live up to expectations. The selection was limited in general, and the options for certain meals (breakfast/lunch) was low. If you have any special needs food wise (including just preferences), you would have a more limited selection than should. Willingness to change items didn't seem to be a priority to restaurant staff either in general, although one or two would want to help. The service was often slow and/or inattentive. The guest services team weren't knowledgable, and the manager of that was extremely rude, disrespectful and offensive. She alone ruined the entire trip and would make me think hard before taking another cruise with Norwegian again.

Very happy on this trip, nice staff, good food and nice DJ. May be ship little bit small, but for 4 days trips it perfect. All port is very good but "TOO" sunny. Always saw staff clean-up and smile. Only stateroom too small and don't have up-date movie and TVprogram.

Room was not what I expected or been told. The dirtiness of the bathroom and shower and musty smell of room that you had to open up the door to get some fresh air. Had to request that the bathroom be cleaned twice due to the stains on the toilet seat and dirtiness of shower stall and sink. Very little choices for the buffet table.

The ship was nice a little smaller than what I am use to sailing on but a nice ship for the price you pay.

Wow! I definitly recommend this Freestyle Cruise to everyone, specially if it's your first time. You will be treated like Royality, and now in these days it hard to find. Wow! Wow!

This was our 2nd cruise with NCL. We did have a good time on the first freestyle cruise so decided to try it again and take the Sky to Alaska.... will never go on that ship again... Just wondering where the cheif came from? McDonalds is better!!!! Our stateroom guy did a wonderful job. Shows would put you to sleep.. Nothing going on on the days at sea... What`s up NCL?

The thing to remember about cruising is that when you hit a port, thousands of passengers disembark together and flood the port area with customers. The smaller the ship, the fewer the crowds. The Norwegian Sky holds about 2000 passengers. This is a good medium size ship that doesn't overwhelm the ports that it stops in. Although at the port, you are there with all the other larger ships also. There was definitely a young, party atmosphere on board culminating with the white hot party which was shoulder to shoulder dancing. I am a travel agent, and was cruising alone with friends. I had an inside cabin which was extremely small but I didn't need much. I was happy to have a couch and desk in the cabin, but without a window, I became very disoriented at night and when waking up. I didn't bring a clock and kept the TV in the room off which made it more difficult to adjust. I strongly recommend getting a cabin with a window even if it's obstructed. It felt like I was sleeping in a closet. The ship had lots of lounges and options for entertainment. I don't drink or gamble so I felt a little out of place especially without my family, so I didn't really take part in much. The food was wonderful, especially in the specialty restaurants. They cost more but they were worth it. I especially loved Le Bistro, the French restaurant, and the steakhouse. The food in the free restaurants was very high quality though, so you didn't need to do the specialty restaurants unless you want a little more variety. We ended up losing a port day due to a hurricane but had one nice day in Nassau. I spent it at the Atlantis which was really a great choice. There is lots to do there and I really missed having my kids with me for this port. It is a great ship for a young couple or for a family who wants a quick Bahamas getaway. It took a few days for me to start to relax and enjoy it, and then it was over. If it's your first cruise and you're not sure how you'll feel about it, a 3-4 day cruise is a good test, but the 7 day cruises are packed with more options for entertainment, dining, ports, so I would actually recommend going for the 7 day instead as a better way to get your feet wet with cruising, but if you are looking for a fun option for a quick get away, this is a great option.

My husband and I were happy to get away for a few days and decompress from the hustle and bustle of everything.

This was our first cruise ever. We are very satisfied and impressed and will come back. Especially the NCL SKY is great and well managed.

We had a wonderful time. The professional photographers were amazing. They even made my ugly mug look decent. Our room steward was the best on the ship. The towel animals she left were incredible. Do remember to take extra cash with you to the private island as gratuities are not included in the price of the excursions. Plus you may run into someone like Paul, who went out of his way to see that we enjoyed our time there.

The ship was clean and the staff were okay.

I prefer Carnival cruise better than this freestyle. here you don't feel the connection to the people serviced you and the experience was less memorable

My boyfriend and I went on the sky in early june. We had a great time, food was better then carnival and we enjoyed the freestyle eating. We didn't dine in any of the surcharge dining areas. The staff where very friendly, except for the last night of the cruise there was some confusion with our bill, we spent 2 hours trying to resolve it and where treated like we didn't know what we where talking about. We are still waiting on our $100 credit that was applied wrong, and they wouldn't let us off the boat until we payed another $44 soo check your bill daily, we paid everything ahead but it still was a nightmare, really screwed up NCLs reputation with us. Watch your on board credits, as my bill changed 3 x in 3 hours that night, and no one could explain to me y.

p Went on this cruise with my husband, his parents, and his grandparents. We had a good time, it was fun and relaxing. A few suggestions: don#39;t take an oceanview cabin on the 4th floor. Very noisey when tendering and docking due to the ramps used to get off the ship being electronic. Our cabin vibrated and had a loud buzzing noise each time. My husband#39;s parents heard the same thing. (My mom went on the ship a few months later and had the same issue in a 4th floor oceanview). p The indoor seating area for the buffet is a mad house, but the outdoor section was great. Loved overlooking the water and taking in the sun. Shows were good, nightlife was plentiful, drinks were reasonable!
