Great for a solo trip in the offseason to get away, but know that you're on an older and smaller ship that will show its age and feel cramped sometimes.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
The port was busy, but there were no issues getting on the ship aside from the long wait between the port opening and the first boarding time. The entire muster drill was for you to go to your station as soon as your boarded and got a sticker on your card to prove it.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Standard cruise line food. The Local was great for late night options or for avoiding the dining room. As a solo traveler, I wish they had more two-person tables or more willing to do group dining as to not take up a 4-top by myself.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
The pool area was overcrowded and never had enough chairs. The fitness center was nice.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Entertainment seemed less frequent on this ship than on many others I've been on, but still very good. The stage on the pool deck was always deafening, even from on the other side by the bar.
Service and Staff

Ship Quality

It's definitely showing its age with some of the plaster and wallpaper peeling off the walls. The Bliss lounge was in a weird location for it to be an adults only nightclub in the evening.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
No Studio cabins or lounge for solo travelers. There were also no outlets near the bed. Other than that, it was pretty standard. If you have them, bring EU and US plugs so you can maximize usage of the outlets since they have both.
Great review! Spot on w/ “solo cruiser dining tables” ~ i cruise often & love “off season” as quick getaway as well. NCL has enhanced their solo-cruiser options, but when it comes to MDRs options, there are few to none offered. On my last MSC cruise, they offered me small a table for 2. And prior, have actually sat me w/ other solo cruisers, each at our own small table setting, on the same row. Great for small talk over dinner, but great personal space. NCL/Sky should be moved out of Miami port & upgraded to a better ship option for those itineraries. It’s way past time NCL. Glad you had a good time overall. Thanks for sharing & happy cruising 😎⚓️🤩❣️‼️
