Review summary

It was an enjoyable cruise that I was able to share with friends and family. As indicated above, the venues appeared to be designed for intimacy but seemed contradictory for the number of people. Lastly, I will most likely be detered from taking cruised during school vacations. There seemed to be an excess of children of all ages.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The speciality restaurants were excellent. Service was excellent. Of the two main dining rooms, Hudson's had the best ambiance while Commodores was less appealing. Breakfast at the buffet was frantic and out of control.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The ship didn't not seem to be prepared for days at sea. There was not much activity that I was able to participate in and when there was a trivia event, the venues were extremely small. Additionally, during days at sea if was incredible difficult to find a place to sit and if you could find an area to sit down it was generally a bar that was not staffed.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Very much enjoyed the Donna Summer show, the concert with the ship's entertainment and a couple of the themed parties.

Children's Programs

no children but it seemed like there was not enough children's programs as many were participating in 18+ Kareoke and 18+ theme parties.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
My room steward and my specialty restaurant waiters were excellent and attentive. The only issue I had was the pit boss in the casino where he was completely unprofessional and unhelpful. I experienced an issue where after entering money in a slot machine, the slot machine did not work because another passenger had left their card in the machine and they recieved my credits. The pit boss told me that there was nothing that could be done and that I had to work it out with the other passenger even thought the pit boss could validate my claim

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was beautiful and clean. However, by trying to make the venues more intimate, it only made everything seem very crowded and chaotic.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was the best cabin I have had on all my cruises and I have been on 10. cruises

Ship tip

Make your reservations early as the venues are small and sell out fast

We were on the same cruise. We had a great time. We were surprised at the number of kids, too. We cruised with our kids, but northern Europe would not have what we would have selected for our 4 boys.

Thanks for sharing. This seems like such a strange itinerary to bring kids on.
