First time sailing with NCL. Pearl was the perfect size. Room steward was great. Specialty restaurants were awesome. Buffet not spectacular. Bartenders definitely did not skimp on the alcohol. Service was much better in Summer Palace than Indigo. O'Shannahans not great and they tended to bring all food at once which really sucked. Waiters didn't seem to care that they should serve the courses separately. Enjoyed the music of Lace Walker nightly in the atrium. Disembarking in Victoria was a cluster. Overall the inside passage was a great itinerary.

We really didn't like the cruise. Even though the cabin, food, and excursions were good, this cruise did not meet our expectations as Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. The photograph department was horrible. We had to go through the pictures on a computer to find ours. As of today, May 30, we still have not received 3 pictures we have paid for. We believe Norwegian owes us money or the pictures should be free. The cost was expensive considering the pictures are coming through your email. Not enough photographers taking pictures. The "free styling" cruising isn't as good as we thought. This really isn't a good set up. You don't meet people as you do on other cruises when assigned to dinner. We would not recommend the Republic Parking lot across from the Seattle port. They make you park on level 3 and go to up level 5. No carts or porters to help. This is hard on some people. We returned to our car on May 20 to find it had been broken into. We found a note from the Port of Seattle Police Dept. We had items stolen, glass all over the car and no one bothered to help us. My husband went to talk to the man about the incident, he didn't care at all. We called the police and he helped us a lot. He found someone to sweep out the glass, tried to find someone to fix our window and a hotel for us. We were supposed to start home but had to stay another night in Seattle to get our window fixed on Monday. It is obvious that the parking lot management does not care about its customers. We should have at the least, been given a refund for the week or money for our hotel. Neither has been done. We were told by the person that fixed our window that smash and grab is common in Seattle. We have no desire to go on another Norwegian cruise or return to Seattle. We did a survey we received from Norwegian but have not heard from them. Obviously they don't care about their customers, either. Even though our overall rating is a 3.8, we do not believe this is low enough from what we experienced.

I just got back from this cruise 2 days ago. It is absolutely amazing. The ship is well maintained. Splurge on a balcony room. You will be glad you did. The views are breathtaking! The other place I would splurge would be the excursions. They really take the trip over the top. I booked all of mine through Shipmates and we could not have enjoyed them more. We did a helicopter ice field in Juneau, the White Pass Railway in Skagway and the seaplane Misty Fjord flight seeing in Ketchikan. All really amazing...and the people could not have been nicer.

1st cruise had a blast, my daughter and I will do more cruises in the future. The ship was awesome, food not very good in the buffet. The staff needs black name tags with white writing. Ronnie was AWESOME,Roel was Awesome, Ryan in the atrium was AWESOME. The inside cabin was perfect. All in all it was a first time cruise that was AWESOME. By the way it was FREESTYLE with Norwegian Pearl!!

Norwegian Pearl-Alaska May 6th-13th. I can't say enough about this trip. From boarding to getting off. The entire crew were so kind and caring. I will definitely sail on Norwegian in the future.

Great ship & ports, had a wonderful trip. Only negative was lack of current weather info anywhere that we could find.

Just got back from the first Alaska cruise of the season on the Pearl. This was our first Norwegian cruse. Ship was decent but the staff was pretty awful overall. They all seemed unhappy and did nothing to make guests feel welcome. Never had this experience with Carnival nor RC. Their staff has always been happy, inviting and welcoming. NCL staff all seemed angst and depressed with hardly ever a smile. We'll stick with the other cruise lines.

I enjoyed every part of this cruise. I would book this same cruise again.

It was good, the weather was rainy but the staff was always pleasant.

You have to see Alaska by cruise ship at least once in your lifetime. It's like watching nature TV sitting on your balcony seeing it as you pass it by.

This was a very enjoyable experience. It was on my bucket list to cruise through the Panama Canal.

Ship is very tired and needs a complete remodel. For such a long cruise the foods choices on the buffet got boring very quickly. The NFL excursions overall were frustrating. A few of our trips were cut short. Bus without air conditioning on a very hot humid day. We paid a hefty price for my husband's fishing excursion and he didn't get to fish and they cut the day short. Did not like having dogs on board. I paid a high price for your Wi-Fi and it didn't work at times and the other times it was so slow it would use up all your minutes. I loved my Royal Caribbean cruise and ship. The Pearl and experience of this cruise has myself and friends not sailing with NFL again, sorry.

We love the Pearl. We have sailed on her twice. One of the best features to us is the great outdoors which is not exclusive to the Pearl but a great place to spend some time outdoors. You have a bar, access to food and of course the great view of the ocean. On our 21 day repositioning cruise we saw whales, dolphins, sea turtles, frigate birds, flying fish, jumping Ray's. It was almost constant wildlife entertainment. We like the jewel class ships in general but have a special place in our heart for the Pearl.

Very clean. Easy to get around. Very prompt to fill any needs or requests Everywhere we went suited the amount of people on the ship. Seating for eating and relaxing was always available. Staff and crew were very friendly. The shows were very entertaining!

Glad we went, but will not be back for this particular cruise again.

This was our second cruise on the Pearl in the past 3 months and we observed many improvements since our last voyage. Most notably the new cruise director, Vincent, brought far more energy and charisma than his predecessor. Also the live music available in the public areas was far better on this voyage due largely to Dennis’s vocals, Peter and his piano, and Avalon’s Latin style. The layout of the Jewel class makes it very easy to get around with the majority of venues a quick trip from one another. In terms of dining we sampled 4 specialty restaurants and loved our meals in each. We also had no complaints with the complimentary options in both Summer Palace and Lotus Garden. We also enjoyed O’Sheehans for quick lunches and late night snacks. Our cabin served its purpose nicely meeting our needs without issue. We opted for an obstructed view cabin on deck 8. It allowed us a slightly larger room than an interior cabin while still eligible for 2 options from the “Free at Sea” promotion. If a view is not important to you then these are not only the best value cabins on the ship, but also the most centrally located. We have been to 3 of the 4 ports several times and had no trouble finding plenty to do in Roatan, Cozumel, and Costa Maya with all three days being great. It was our first trip to Harvest Caye and I was pleasantly surprised out how nice this destination was. Look for a full port review soon. Lastly I do want to recognize a few staff members who really made a difference for us. A few notable new faces for us include Jino from O’Sheehans who always made us feel welcome and a Maitr’d names Christine that took care of us in multiple restaurants and always seemed to remember us by name after the first day. As for old faces, a few of the staff members from our previous cruise remembered us which really made us feel special. Most notably was bartender Chadney. He remembered us immediately and no matter where we saw him throughout the week he always made us feel like the most important passengers on board. Overall this was one of the nicest cruises I have ever taken. If a smaller to midsize ship with lots of great dining options is something that interests you then I recommend considering the Pearl as an option.

This was our first cruise and we had an outstanding time! We opted for the unlimited beverage package and the 3 specialty dining options. While we may not have had enough to make the beverage package worth while (but we had plenty!), it was nice to order what we wanted without regard to cost. We did the Brazilian BBQ, Teppanyaki, and the steakhouse; All delicious! The only meal complaint I have was one night I ordered the fried chicken at Lotus and it was REALLY bad. We had a blast playing BINGO, a couple shows, Dennis on guitar, and hanging by the pool. The husbands enjoyed the cigar lounge. The ports were fun, too. Overall, a great time had by all!

The price paid for this cruise was far higher than the level of service we received on board. We will think twice before ever sailing with NCL again.
