Review summary

I loved her time on the NCL cruise. I would give it 4.5 stars. The only five star would be deducted because the shows were average on most nights for a 10 night cruise having only around to four real stage shows is not what I was expecting. But in general I thought it was great. The boat was clean, the service was attentive, friendlyand fast, the food was excellent, with plenty of variety and a few daily go-to's. We had the drinks package and the drinks were plentiful and generous and pours. We never got bored

Embarkation

Very quick out of Trieste. We were on board in 20 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food and drinks had to be one of the best I've had. Much better than European liners like MSC and definitely better than Costa. The food was tasty, well prepared and had good variety throughout our 10-day Cruise. I love that there was always food in somewhere on the boat to be had and Osheaans's restaurant was great to have as the go-to snacking place whether it be breakfast lunch or dinner. Bars were great and the drink pours were generous.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
They always had something going on, and you would have to try to be bored on that boat. If you could find yourself being bored, then you must be a very boring person. Lol

Entertainment

4 out of 5
I would say where Costa cut the budget slightly was in the nightly shows. They had a couple good ones and then others were just average compared to the Cirque du Soleil level shows you might find on some other Cruise lines. However to be fair this boat was not the biggest boat and the stage was quite a bit smaller than some of the other cruise lines have been on so that might have had something to do with the scale of shows that could put on. Overall it was pretty great.

Children's Programs

We didn't have any kids with us so we didn't know what they had going on for that.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was always friendly, and turnover was extremely fast every day.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I appreciate it how all the bathrooms are always clean and I didn't have to worry about walking into a bathroom that smelled bad or was soiled.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice size balcony, beds were comfortable, bathroom was decent size, especially when you compare it to the hotels we've been staying in Europe.

Ship tip

When disappointment I had was that we did not stop in Mykonos as planned. But that is honestly not the cruise liners fault as the wind was too high for them to be able to tender both out.

Ports of call

TRIESTE (VENICE), ITALY

3 out of 5
Not much going on there.

Rijeka, Croatia

4 out of 5
Nice little stop we had a good time.

Koper, Slovenia

5 out of 5
We had one of the most amazing excursions that we were able to book off boat at one of the local kiosks when you get off the boat. The Excursion took us to a UNESCO cave site that is one of the most amazing I've ever seen. The price was decent.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

5 out of 5
Dubrovnik is a beautiful place to visit.

Kotor, Montenegro

5 out of 5
Beautiful location, but a little bit too short for some of the excursions we would have liked to do.

Corfu, Greece

2 out of 5
I'm not sure why they picked this location to stop. There's really nothing going on there. Unless you like to shop.

Santorini, Greece

5 out of 5
I rate this five stars because it's a bucket list location. I personally think it's a bit overrated, but I think it's great that they included it.

Mykonos, Greece Did not visit port

The captain decided not to stop at this port as the winds were too strong, that was a major bummer because it was one of the top places we wanted to go.

Split, Croatia

5 out of 5
Split is a beautiful town, the natural beauty is just stunning on a good day. We would love to go back there and spend a few days and hike through the beautiful parks that they have there.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and worry free.
