It was a really good cruise, lots of time on open sea tho.

Review summary

My first cruise. I guess I expected more things on board that did not cost, like playing 3 games of bingo was 49.00, getting a bath treatment was 169.00. Pictures were very expensive, I guess these all have to make a living also, but with it being my first cruise, I was caught unaware of all the extras you had to pay to get.

we played bingo. I was disappointed that it cost so much to play. You pay 7000.00 to go on a cruise, you do not expect to pay 49.00 to play 3 games of bingo, so I only played one time.

Agree with you that it is all over priced but at least it's optional. Beats paying for something you don't want

We made allot of mistakes when we first cruised but now we know. As far as photos, on the last couple days they run specials. As far as the spa, usually treatments and massages are discounted on port days. Hopefully you will cruise again and learn a little more each time, in the long run it is cheaper than a vacation with travel, food, entertainment, etc, in my opinion. Plus you don't have to do driving or flying!

You on vacation.

Hard to say no but I definitely do to most. Bingo won’t make the cruise better unless you win but not worth the chance. And PICTURES don’t get me started. Back in the day it somewhat made sense with film and developing. But now it’s only a digital thing. Not worth it. They get you though because you don’t get the background anywhere else and you look fancy. My family used to always get that. I couldn’t care less. I’m surprised you err shocked though unless you weren’t on this app before hand, we would’ve definitely let you know the deal. Next one gets better!

Things on board can be expensive but they are all options just say no!

It pays, pun intended, to read all the boring info that comes with the reservations. This site with all the comments is very helpful as well. Cruing has changed dramatically in the past 30 years with so many lines and ships. It keeps the cabin prices low but the extras make for sticker shock. Just like the changes in air travel.
