Review summary

Was a great bucket list experience. We were not disappointed. Norwegian scored a few points with my wife and I. I'd recommend this trip to any cruiser.

Embarkation

Getting onboard was easy. We boarded without VIP treatment because of our relatively low status on NCL (latitudes: Silver) and it went pretty smooth.Maybe 1/2 hr. Got some water, A little conversation and we were on.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate mostly at the Summer Palace dining room. We loved it. The buffet where we also ate some meals was pretty much like all buffets not good not bad.Pretty good food. Cagneys steak house was the only specialty rest. we ate at . Honestly ,It has a Diner type feel and look to it. Food was great ,atmosphere not so much.

Service and Staff

James F. was our stateroom attendant. Possibly the best ever(42 cruises) . Great personality and hard worker. (room 11589) . Dining was OK. considering it was Freestyle. We didn't get to know our wait staff so it's hard to judge. Entire staff and crew seem very happy and friendly so someone is doing something right. Keep it up.

Ship Quality

Very clean ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin and service was top-notch. Had water leak on day 8 and was moved to a Balcony stateroom(,poor us). Smooth move ,1/2 hour later we were enjoying our balcony and free wine and strawberries. Just in time to view the canal from our balcony. Some people are just Lucky.

Ship tip

You can get everywhere from floor 7 . That's important to know.

This took WAY too long. Not ships fault but Immigration was understaffed and in no hurry to correct that problem. Maybe New Orleans would be interested in calculating how much money could be spent by 2000+ passengers in that hour we spent standing in line. Maybe enough to pay a couple more agents?
