Review summary

My wife on Wednesday night got food poisoning.  We had eaten in the Summer Palace that evening; she had had the grilled flounder, baked potato and broccoli.  For an appetizer she had the calamari.  Desert was fruit salad.  Two hours after eating dinner she started vomiting and severe diarreah.  She continue until Wednesday in the afternoon.  We went to the doctor on the ship and he diagnosed (gastrointeritus).  Medicine was prescribed, but my wife had to be quarantined in her room until Friday at 3:30.   This was our 25th Wedding Anniversary.  What a disappointment. The front desk sent to our room Strawberries dipped in chocolate.  What is that all about.  She was sick!!!!!!!!!!

We traveled from Massachusetts to cruise Alaska expecting to have the time of our lives; but that did not happen.

Orlando, who cleaned our room was outstanding.

Ship tip

Our check-in gal was very professional and courteous. However, our check-out girl was not at all in any way sympathetic to our bad experience on the ship.

Yes food poisoning doesn't happen that fast must have been a virus

I agree.  You wife didn't have food poisoning but gastroenteritis. I am so sorry that her illness ruined your 25th Anniversary Cruise.  I can understand how disappointed and upset you both were.  I hope your future cruises go smoother for you.  Happy Anniversary.
