overall the Norwegen Joy was great!! I definitely would cruise on this ship again. I loved the crew and the food was amazing. The live music in the different venues were great. The shows were mostly disappointing but the other entertainment and activities more than made up for it.

The Norweigen Joy has great food, I've been on many ships (royal, carnival, princess, viking) and the Joy definitely was right on top with the food.
Onboard Activities

pool, slides, race car driving on an actual speedway, casino, laser tag. I went to the fitness center once and it was good. they had classes but I didn't get to them there was too many things in the evening that kept me busy.

great variety of live music in the bars. The big shows are not that great. Elements was great but the rest of the shows were a one man show.

the staff are all so happy people. you can tell they enjoy working there so they treat the passengers with joy and kindness.

I always saw the staff cleaning the banisters, the ceilings of the restaurants, the rooms. Everything was very clean!
Cabin / Stateroom

great room, great balcony. the shower is always small but that is the same on all ships. I strongly suggest you get a cabin with a balcony - you'll never go back to anything else!
Ship tip
If you a solo sailer go to all the events to mingle, you'll meet lots of people and perhaps that special someone.
we did early disembarkation and it was a long walk with our bags. I had my 85yr old mother with me so it was very hard on her. They didn't provide help until after 7:45am. we left at 7am
