Review summary

The cruise was nice but sad to say, food and service have certainly been declining on NCL.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We found the food and service lacking in both the main dining rooms as well as the buffet but the buffet had more variety. Dinner at Cagney was a flop. My ribeye was mostly fat and grissle and wasn’t edible at all.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fitness center was crowded. It was too cold to enjoy the pool.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Footloose show was good. Did not care for elements or the female singer in the theater. They had a Beatles band that was great. They performed twice in the theater and then a few times in the Cavern, but the venue was very small and and only held a few so most people in the HUGE long line were turned away. Wish NCL would have singers on board from somewhere else besides the Philippines. So tired of hearing fav songs with the same accent all the time!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Room steward was ok but nothing like on past cruises. They’ve cut down to one service a day which is fine by me but they also cut down on already over worked crew. Found dining staff in all venues to have a not so great attitude and didn’t seem like they wanted to serve or even be there. There were a few good exceptions.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
I selected this cabin because of the larger balcony but as it turns out, because of the ships design, you could only see one direction. Also because of the bad weather, we really didn’t get much opportunity to use it. Also, we could hear the noise from the theater but the shows were always over by 10:30.

Ports of call

Never left the ship. Our excursion was cancelled due to late arrival at port but then we were delayed many hours departing for our next port.

Agree about the food. It does not mater what ship.
